We've seen two of the top teams we are up against tonight. What a game. Spurs, right up there, as an organised team. United? write them off at your peril. They gave their all, giving it full whack for the ninety minutes. Shaw was for me their MOTM.
Each is a most definite top four contender by the end of the season.
Enjoy the roller coaster people!
Well, there we go ...

I didn’t see it. I will write off United whilst Moanrinho is still in charge. Hopefully he doesn’t get the boot just yet and the turmoil continues for a little while longer.

United may get their act together at some stage but to suggest they gave it the full whack tonight is stretching.
It was desperate football for most of the second half. Lump it and hope it falls to Lukaku.
Spurs were very good and I fully expect them to challenge for the title but no way can I see a team with Shaw, Feliani, Fred Flintstone and Lukaku rub shoulders with City this season.
They massively overachieved last year.

It’s actually even worse for Utd if that’s all they can offer when giving it their all, especially at home.

City have already dropped points to Wolves and they're without De Bruyne so I think you just might be overestimating them.

Yeah it's great to laugh at Mourinho but I can see his point. United's general play was actually quite good. They were undone by his decision to play Herrara at the back, which no doubt was message to the board, and poor finishing. It's strange to think but I think United actually played better than Spurs did.
In the end it's about putting the ball in the net and in the second half Spurs mastered that.

Utd were desperate. effort yes. but no shape, no clue. thry only way to be worse is to drop the effort some players did put in.
so if they can't get much worse they must get better at some point.
the question is when....
