September is here, the transfer window is shut and we can talk about matters on the pitch-for now. First local derby of 6 this season as Bolton make the trip to deepdale for a 3pm kick off. Bolton despite being battered 3-0 by Sheffield united last Saturday are still 3rd with 3 wins out of 5 and an 100% away record!. Preston are struggling in 20th with just the 1 win and 6 points seperate the clubs. In recent history last season and 2015 ended in 0-0s at deepdale, Bolton's last win there was 2-0 new year's Day 2001(remember well my last trip there) with goals from Gareth farrelly and Michael ricketts on the road to promotion to the premier league. That's 3 straight clean sheets at deepdale. Team news. I don't think new signing Christian Doidge will be involved although he will be eligible to play. No new injuries but changes likely with Taylor back for grounds. Murphy is under pressure for his place from Williams and O'Neil and parky may juggle his 3 behind Megennis with noone, Buckley and Oztumer pushing for recalls. Anyone's guess.

I would like to see Christian Doidge get his debut on Saturday. If Magennis fails to recover from his injury which looks likely, he would be my first choice. He's had a couple of weeks to train with the squad and was already scoring goals this season for Forest Green. I think 4 goals this season. He's got to play.

I would like to see two strikers on the pitch at the same time! at home, but I can’t see Parky playing that way .

Morning peeps
This jet lag lark is no good when trying to wade through what has gone on, If I have it right Ken robbed Peter to pay Paul. Uncle Ed has passed away that is very sad as normally when I am here in Sept I meet him down at Manchester University.
I won't be up North for tomorrow I see there is jostling going on in the sick bay queue we need a ticket system for that place as for the match against QPR I haven't a clue we'll have to await the team sheet and somebody telling us how PP has told them to play.
Two strikers being mentioned I think you're having a larf as they say down here.
Oh and Ken has to cook the books for the Chef on Monday.

As it was 200,000 GBP perhaps the same local businessman who helped out with the Blue marble loan decided that Ken needed a little extra help. Good on him in any event for stepping in and helping the club avoid administration.

I thought Ken said he would rip up the catering contract was it cheaper to cough up and make up than pay off the contract.

With two away games after today, we really could do with a win today. I can't see us getting anything midweek from Middlesbrough. I will be in the midst of a rather sickly trip back to England on a ferry from Bilbao to Portsmouth So unfortunately, I won't be able to take part in the thread. The Wi-Fi on board is worse than useless.
Ipswich may be a different matter but I'm not sure of anything. The days when my glass was half full have not quite returned although matters on the pitch are looking up at the moment.

Swie ,you need to man up, I did the Pride of Bilbao in January a good 20 yrs ago, force 10 going out and force 11 coming back 😉
