Leicester 1 v 2 Liverpool: Live

We travel to Leicester for the early kick off today and to a fixture that over the last couple of years hasn’t been that great for us. Leicester were unlucky to lose they’re opening game of the season but have responded well beating both Wolves & Southampton. Major plus point for Liverpool is that Jamie Vardy will miss out due to serving the second game of his 3 games suspension. Liverpool look to continue they’re 100% start to the season which has seen us not concede a goal.

Venue: King Power stadium, Leicester.

Kick Off: 12:30pm.

Team News to follow.

Liverpool XI: Alisson, TAA, Gomez, VVD, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Salah, Mane⚽️, Firmino⚽️.

Subs: Mignolet, Matip, Moreno, Keita, Lallana, Shaqiri, Sturridge.

Henderson passed it to VVD who could’ve put his foot through it but didn’t.

VVD played a poor ball but it was still on the keeer prefered side who took a touch and could have cleared it but didn’t.

How anybody can even suggest Henderson was at fault for the goal is baffling.

Henderson must have banged LAMCAM's boyfriend.

They were all involved in sloppy passes but when that happens the keeper has to take responsibility and clear it, even if it goes for a throw in. Ultimately stems down to him.

I hope that's a lesson learned for Allison. We've had too many of those over the years even our best goalkeeper in the last 40 years Bruce Grobbelaar was guilty of making it. But it all started from the unnecessary backpass from Henderson to VVD. It was the usual Henderson pass. Ball not on the ground and bouncing. VVD was surprised and under pressure quickly passedpassed it to the keeper but away from him. Allisson done well to stop it going for a corner.

It was Henderson's fault

He started it. Watch it again.

He passed the ball to a teammate, who in turn passed it to a teammate, who tried to dribble close to his goal and lost it. Henderson's role is literally to keep it safe and simple, he did that. What wasn't safe is the goalkeeper trying to dribble when there was time to pass it up the pitch.

Of course it's Alisson fault. He takes the blame. What I'm trying to say is Henderson should have had ball on the ground instead of up in the air which made it difficult for VVD. He could have made a forward pass instead

Van Dijk had the perfect chance to put his foot through the ball from Henderson.

We were two nil up.

Nothing wrong with being safe when you're two up away from home.

It was Allison's fault ffs. He's not in the slower paced Italian league anymore. He will learn.

I don't understand how its being said that VVD played a poor ball.

Just because it didn't go straight where Allison was standing doesn't make it a poor pass.

In fact replays will show that VVD played the ball and Allison wouldn't come under immediate pressure from the attacker who was following through on the press.

Allison had enough time to clear the ball or even hoof it to a forward player or even play it out for a throw. Near standard back pass

For me its all on Allison.

How thick of him to think he can meg people every single game.

It was a wayward pass the keeper had to move to get the ball but as I said above, it was still on his right foot and he still had the chance to clear the ball.

The goal was Alissons fault.

Alisson made a mistake and he will learn but what I liked about this it didnt effect him in the rest of the game.

Very much so!

Geez he made a cocky mistake but it didn’t cost us the game, let’s hope he learns his lesson and move on
