To kill 2 birds with 1 stone. What's the opinion on Saturdays game? I didn't expect Murray to start but possibly should have come on earlier. I think in time Murray should start instead of Easter. I was surprised Zaha didn't start either.
Obviously a defeat was on it's way but I thought we deserved at least a draw. When Zaha and Scannell were put on the wings we looked our best. Like I said on a previous post that I see our play as attacking from the wings with a Murray-type player in the box.
So tomorrow night I expect it all to change. I can't imagine either team playing a strong squad and once again I'm not fussed about the Carling Cup. If we were to do a cup run I'd rather it be the FA Cup. Hopefully we will sneak through and then get drawn against Man Utd or Liverpool.
So tomorrow I'm going to say 1-1 and then an extra time goal.

I didn't go or even get to listen in on Saturday so I don't know much about it. I feel that to lose 1-0 to Boro isn't too bad when you consider our progress in quite a short space of time. Last season they would have annihilated us if their form had been what it is now.
Tomorrow I see us getting the better of them. They will surely be more interested in a promotion push and IMO they are one of the likelier sides to go up.
I reckon with a line up like we fielded for Wigan and Boro resting a few, we could win 2-0 or 2-1.

A good friend went Sat and he was 'again' unhappy with Dougie making changes way too late! To give Wilf 15mins or so, on his performances this season, was wrong. I've noticed this before with Dougie and given him the benefit of the doubt as he's new to the job. That said, i'm talking sh-te to a degree as he's been on the park all his life as a player and MUST remember many, many times when he hoped the gaffer at the time would make changes. Hopefully he'll learn but equally i remember thinking the same last year. Oh well.
The bottom line is we have an attacking threat better than many in this league so bl--dy well use it ESPECIALLY when we are at home in a game that was going nowhere.
As for tonights game, 0-2 Boro.

Wow Hastings got it spot on. 2-0 then 2-1. TUX it seems whenever you say we're going to lose we win! Maybe Dougie read your rant and was determined to prove you wrong.
Zaha was really good last night and would expect him to play against Doncaster but with Brighton soon after I doubt our top players would play much against Doncaster.
Boro had a terrible night if Calvin Andrew managed to score! Every fan has 1 player they dislike and Andrew is mine. I only assume that we play him so that the average Palace fan has faith that anyone can play upfront for the Eagles.
