"He's got a slight injury," the boss said, speaking at the launch of the club's new partner, Malaysian snack giants Mister Potato. "It's not too bad, though. So he wasn't available for Sunday but he should be able to play on Tuesday and I intend to play him against Leeds United."
He has also rubbished reports linking him with a loan move
"It's more difficult to loan a boy of 18 who's come from France," explained the manager.
"We prefer to keep him with us until we find he's mature enough to possibly go on loan. Maybe next year that could be an option but we're definitely expecting him this season to stay with Manchester United."
This should be an exciting game for all United fans, possibly the moment many of us have been anticipating for quite some time. The main thing is, we have to get behind the lad no matter how he plays. It's his debut and he might not hit the heights some fans could be expecting but we have a rare opportunity to see the debut of one of our most exciting youth products to come through for many years.
He has come on leaps and bounds in the past 12 months and has always given assured performances whenever he has taken to the pitch, including Scholes's testimonial and the unfortunate 8-2 demolishing, although he was the bright spark amongst a bad bunch.
The advantage Pogba has over the likes of Bebe and co is that he does not come with a price tag and I'm hopeful that if he can put in a decent shift then he might challenge for a squad position in our team.
What's your opinions on his chances tomorrow?
Looks like Pogba's in line for his debut

I personally would have played Carrick yesterday and Fletcher against Leeds. I still think he's lacking in match fitness so maybe he'll play again.
But you're right, you can just throw together a bunch of players that haven't really played together/much and expect them to gel.

This is a possible team I have come up with, has a mixture of youth and experience.
Lindergaard
M.Keane Jones Evans Fabio
Valencia Pogba Carrick Park
Macheda Diouf
You could always put Valencia right back and throw someone else on the right flank

Smalling's injury has left us a little short in the full back positions
Hopefully Rio and Vidic will be back soon so Jones can cover there - something really needs to have a word with him about discipline though - yes its great to see him brining the ball out and bombing forward but he was caught out of position quite a few times

We are worse than we when we played you in the FA Cup.

Sorry, what?!? Mr Potato has an injury? Was he expected to feature in our League Cup game? Surely Pogba would have been a better choice?

No, he came legitimately years ago - and we have indeed ben developing him for those (nearly 4 ) years now.
I can well understand the desire of a Leeds fan to live in the past though.
And no, there was not any legal action - though your fatuous and puerile allegation of bribery is certainly actionable; indeed it is only because you are such an insignificant dolt blatantly writing absurd fantasies that no-one takes seriously thst protects you from such legal action.
