Afternoon.
Having watched the game again, and taking closer look at how things unfolded. You have to say rangers defence is better, however the midfield is where it was won and lost.
The standard of Celtic midfield in my opinion is significantly better, Brown Ntcham, Rogic And Calmac are so far ahead of Rangers itโs the reason we completely dominated the game.
Rangers could not get our there own half for bulk of match and this is why, when they got ball we surrounded them, chased everything down. Loved to see this.
Unless rangers improve this area I cannot see anything other than a Celtic win when we play them again.
Thoughts?
Midfield.

think in future xfer Windows instead of him having to bring in 15 or 16 players, and get rid of a similar amount, he only has to focus on 2 or 3 good signings in midfield and attack.
We are probably 2 or 3 players short of being a team able to challenge Celtic
Hmmm, very debateable based on what I’ve seen so far. 3 minimum yes but don’t forget you have 4 players on loan and 2 players out of contract in the summer that’s another 6 changes automatically.

Agree we're light in midfield compared to Celtic. Coulibaly has been solid both defensively and driving the team forward, but not sure he'd have made a difference on his own on Sunday, rest of the midfield were too light. It would be nice to have Rossiter fit for even one game.

It’s great reading the desperate straw clutching of the shell shocked bears. Looking to invent any kind of positives from a horsing they didn’t expect. Who’d have thunk it ๐

I disagree. I think most Celtic fans are estatic over a 1-0 home win, that they did not expect.
I think rangers tactics and lack of executing the tactics properly played into Celtic's strengths. Surprisingly Gerrard did not substitute certain tired players like ejaria, for whatever reason.
But I believe most rangers supporters believe we can and will play a lot better as the season goes on. This looks to be a good squad Gerrard is building.
The size of the rebuild required has not been underestimated by anyone at rangers.
I think it will have been a big learning curve for Gerrard and the squad.
Looking forward to the future games.

Word of advice Oz; don't ever look to Heed for anything like a balanced view.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Heed the baw is a vile <retin
---------------------------------------------------------------------
we've had enough issues on the site recently without reverting to this kind of nonsense.
Heed might be a cretin....I don't think so but it's possible. 'vile'....no I don't think there's anything to support that.
I'm ok to admit that I've made a complaint about this ridiculous post.

Admitting to making a complaint?! It’ll never catch on.

Brown: £4.4m
Ntcham: £4.5m
Jack, Arfield, Coulibaly, Ejaria combined: £0.00
Yes, we were second best in that area, but is it any wonder. The team are building from the back and we can already appreciate the start that they have made. Lets give the 2 world class centre midfielders that are our management team time to turn our freebies into stars or else find players in the market who can do the job properly in January or next summer!
Rome wasn't built in a day. We have no right to demand a league title in year one. Lets just enjoy watching this young, talented squad and our momentum build gradually over time. Not to mention 6 more European nights of raking in extra transfer funds!

Genuinely, I think it’s more likely to go towards making you sustainable and not having to borrow more money.

Well even if that pessamistic view is the case POV... thats still a bloody good thing! I think though thats its unlikely we've seen the last of us spending in the transfer windows based on the backing gerrards had so far and instant success in europe its had.

I agree you’ll buy more in January, and my comment wasn’t a dig. It’s the sensible thing to do.
So, yeah, King will probably blow the lot on transfers.
