Anybody see him for Wales ? Apparently he was very good and played in midfield rather than defence. Great chance for him to get some more experience, play on the big stage and hopefully force his way into our first team

Probably go down the same route as the rest of your homegrown talent eventually

Same route as Solanke, who thought he had already made it at the top level, and that it would be easier to break into Liverpool first team than at Chelsea’s ?
If the player is good enough they’ll break into the first team in the same way as Christensen’s has done recently.
Ampadu at the age of 17 has already achieved more at club level and national level than Solanke was at 19 years of age whilst at Chelsea. You know if a player is going to make it or not at the top level. Ampadu has already shown immense promise that he’s comfortable playing with our first team and his national team.

Yes. I thought he was immense for Wales. A versatile player who is comfortable playing in midfield and in defense.

I think of all our youth players from the past few years he's the one in most excited about, not because of his immense talent like CHO but because of his attitude/mentality/personality whatever you want to call it. At 17 years old he looks like an old pro and not the boy amongst men alot of talented youngsters look like when they make that step up to senior level.

Looks like that Guendouzi for Arsenal. He played really well from the highlights that I saw.

Christensen needs to be played regularly again this season instead of David Luiz otherwise we might lose him.Similarly,CHO and RLC also need to be played more regularly otherwise it might be de ja vu like with Matic,Salah or KDB!

They will play if the manager thinks they’re good enough. And I think CHO would have started the season had he not been injured, so he’s hardly a good example. You really are a glass half empty kind of person, aren’t you Zahr.

Ampadu is showing the sort of confidence that JT showed at that age, still looks a little lightweight for central defence but getting there. His passing range is as good as JTs and he reads the game well. We have a very good defence for the future.

When Cahill and Moses eventually leave I fully expect Hudson Odoi and Ampadu to take their roles.
