Harry Maguire signs new Contract

Harry Maguire has signed a new 5 year contract keeping him at Leicester until 2023.

Well that's the theory but it boosts his value anyway.

Harry thanked the Club for their support, for giving him a solid platform to perform in the Premier League and break into the England Team.

Refreshing to see a Player acknowledge the Club's support and that it's a team effort not just their own ability.

Looks like he’s off in Jan

Release clause in the contract I guess..

I’d be surprised if there’s a release clause that’s not a stupid amount.

Great news and really refreshing to see Maguire’s attitude towards the club and the game. He just seems happy to be playing football for a living.

He’ll probably join us, and we don’t do sensible transfer fees, so it will be a stupid amount.

I heard his release clause now is only £150m, which is no doubt in Utd's price range. The fact that he was priced at a measly sum of £60m last summer, didn't seem as appealing to Utd top brass.

About right. Ed will think he’s world class with that price tag.

Plus it would be an avenue breaking into the Sheffield market.

E by gum, Maguire would be a raaaaaattteee good signing.

Great news

So now that's Harry Maguire, Vardy, Wilf and Kasper ( sorry Nev ) signed on long term contracts.

So that's top dollar for any of them , if we want to sell them. A good spine to build on.

Well done Rudders/ Claude

Yes I think the club has done really well to secure our most valuable assets on long term deals. They might still go, but at least we’ve protected ourselves from them going on the cheap to some extent. Excellent work from those concerned.

Interesting to note that four players are out of contract at the end of the season: Morgan, Simpson, Fuchs and Okazaki. All were part of the title winning side and, you’d think, all will be on quite lucrative deals as a result. How many of those will be offered new deals? Fuchs has already announced he will be going, Simpson doesn’t look like he has much future here and Morgan is 35 in January. That leaves Okazaki who doesn’t look like he’ll be picked much by Puel.

My guess is that they’ll all be gone before next season.

I agree but they got their rewards post Title win and have helped keep the Club stable since then when many expected us to implode, well done all round I'd say.
