Because if we had a player as good as Messi in our academy and didn't play him, he would quickly go to a rival and make us rue that decision. If we had a youth player genuinely that good the coaches would identify that and he would be playing.

Forget Messi level even, not one academy player has yet left us and gone on to prove us wrong for not playing them, the one dus far that's turned out to be good enough is in our squad as we speak.

No name Chelsea wasted Ryan Bertrand and Patrick Van Aanholt who could have been valuable squad players at Chelsea for a long time.Also we didn't properly use many other players just like we are doing now with CHO,RLC and a few others not even making Europa League squad away match in Greece.

Bertrand wanted first team football while Van Aanholt's defending is comically bad.

Loftus Cheek is an average player overrated due to being an academy boy and Hudson is 17, who was the last 17 yo regular at PL level?

Mount is the bizz, believe me, I'm 52, clued in and Chelsea have at last one that will come through.

Just so happy that my club will have helped in his rise.

You should be concentrating your voice more why KDB, Salah, et al got through the net and prospered elsewhere.

Would love to see Mason make it at the club that nurtured him.

KDB was an allmighty feck up but i can't blame Jose with Salah, he was beyond bad while with us.

we have had eriksson on trial as well as lukaku kdb salah and also Mbappe we didnt keep any of them...almost half a billion of talent there now
