I remember him waving play-on when the game was on MotD (Dirties v WBA).
He made a lot of friends that day.

That's the one
He always looked about 60-odd, but I bet he was only in his 40s.

Worth a watch if you have 10 minutes to spare?

Billy Bremner was a horrible little dirty ba5tard, worse than I remember.
And Steve McCaren carries the Tinkler mullet into the 21st century.

Wow' that's my era - proper 'football'
No wonder people find the game boring these days. Enough to keep a VAR panel busy for weeks

Bring it on.
I was against it to begin with, and I still have reservations, but I now think I'd like to feel that a result is a fair one and not one decided by bad refereeing decisions.

I'm with you, mate
Feels like we're in the minority on here though, unless the antis are the more vocal ones ?

Ang, did you notice Bremner going in with the elbow at 3m 40s? Bad enough to be banned for the season.
The WBA lad didn't bat and eyelid. Ronaldo would have still been rolling around today.

I loved the indirect free kick fiasco.
What told you the ref had lost control at that stage ?

Some argue it ruins the flow of the game, but if it stops all the blatant cheating (shirt-pulling at corners for instance) I'm all for it.
Someone argued that it worked at the World Cup because all the (cheating) South American teams were knocked-out before the semi-finals.

Waste of time and money. It even slows cricket down.
