We just don't need two defensive midfielders in this game. Someone with a bit more quality going forward would offer much more value.

If Jorginho is a defensive midfielder then God help us and God help our back four. Give Kante timevto adjust.

Even the best players have an off day. Kante had one today, but he rarely has a bad a game for us. Kante needs time to get used to the new role, I am sure he has the ability to contribute in the defensive and attacking phases.

Jorginho is a deep lying playmaker. I don’t consider him a DM and I would bet neither does Luiz or Rudiger. It is a challenge but Barca worked it out with Xavi so I didn’t see why we can’t

In all seriousness, bar De Gea, theres not a single one of our players I wouldn't trade off for him. Not that you'd entertain that swap!

He has played 7 games in this system. Think he’s allowed an adjustment period considering he’s one of the best midfielders in the world. Give him time.

I'm more than happy with Kante playing a bit further up and getting more involved. For some reason people like to think of him as a Makelele clone, but with greatest respect to Makelele (who was great at what he did) Kante is much more than that.

Of course he'll need some time to adjust but he will. He'll also still get involved defensively when needed, don't think that's in any doubt.

Is he playing further forward?

I wouldn't have Kante as a DM due to the fact he is better pressing rather than marking zonally like Makelele did.

Playing a Deep lying Midfielder (jorginho) with Kante high up winning the ball back pressing, alongside a more creative/goal scoring midfielder makes sense to me.
