The confidence must be surging through the squad, even back to pre season we beat both manc clubs and true it means little in terms of football but mentally its another little reminder that we come through as winners.
Every game gone some of the injured players have returned, matip is back amd lallana wont be far away, crucial facets of the squad to make us even stronger.
So its onto Wednesday and we should be favourites, extra days rest and we are at home. cfc have played strong sides in the previous 2 games which has cost them rudiger so thats another positive.
Shuffle the pack for this one of course, but its hardly a weak team is it. This is my take:
..............Alisson. ............
Clyne...Matip...Gomez....Milner
...............Fabinho. ..............
........Keita......Wijnaldum. ..
Shaqiri.......Sturridge. .....Origi
Moreno nowhere near my team....NEVER!
Rack up another win please.

Why is Origi still at your club?

Don't know why people are moaning about the league cup - Chelsea at Anfield is still a great game and we should put a strong team out. It is still a trophy at the end of the day and one we should be trying to win it no questions asked.
Allison
TAA Gomez Matip Robertson
Gini Milner Keita
Shaq Bobby Mane
Would give Salah a break and maybe bring Sturridge in but opted for Bobby to not break up that front three too much. Shaqiri will start no question as will Keita imo. Going tomorrow so like I said, hopefully we go for the early kill and then take players off if needed.

Although Klopp may spring a surprise and give Fabinho his first start.

Really need to put out a strong squad tomorrow in the cup to make a win in the PL more likely.

Fancy you lot 2-0 tomorrow night but I think the league match will be a closer affair especially with us being at home, 2-2 prediction.
I'd take a draw and just move on from the fixture happily enough.

Nice user name.
Yeah I would take a draw in Saturday. We don't di well.at Stamford bridge and giroud and hazard usually do well against us.

Our record at the Bridge is better than people think. Will be a tough game though for sure.

think if you hit our high line on the break early you can win at the Bridge.
Just don't try to shut up shop like last season and bring on Winj for Studge midway through second half.
That negativity cost you the win last season at Anfield

Not true at all. Chelsea are the kind of team we've struggled against for a few years now. Very solid and difficult to break down. I mean your comment goes against everything that people said in the past about the game in 2014 when we played our normal game when we should have closed up more. We got the lead this time and did the right thing by trying to close up, only to be sucker punched right at the death with a cross turned shot.
It was just unlucky, rather than anything to blame.
When we don't win, it's either we shouldn't have closed up or we should have closed up. You can't have it both ways. Sometimes the right thing to do ends up costing you, there's another team involved, that's football.
