Understandably, all the media attention ahead of the game today is on Hazard and how Liverpool must find a way to stop him.
But, I suspect Liverpool will be more focussed on making sure that their high pressing stops Jorginho and Chelsea’s ability to start moves from deep. Once Liverpool got their press working on Wednesday, most of their chances came from forcing Chelsea players into errors and denying Fabregas the opportunity to influence the game.
Today, we are going to learn an awful lot about how good Jorginho is under pressure. It is going to be his biggest test in a Chelsea shirt, perhaps even in his career so far.
Jorginho’s biggest test so far

Jorginho will only be effective if the players around him make space to be able to pick up on his passes.

This is what I was thinking. It's just as much an overall test of Sarri's system and flexibility as it is of any individual component.
Despite Jorginho being the axis of your build-up, it's even more important that his teammates make themselves for the simple pass during Liverpool's phases of extreme pressing.
I didn't watch the midweek game, but I'd imagine Liverpool will be targeting one or two of the weaker passers today even more than Jorginho.
I imagine there'll be times Chelsea are better off going long and wide. Who your best long-range passer?

Obviously either Jorginho or Cesc are very good at pin point long passes. Also, Rudiger and Luiz are not bad either. Not sure how Luiz will cope if pressed aggressively, whereas I feel quite comfortable with Rudiger.

I think Chelsea will win. You still have worldclass players like Hazard and Pedro who can decide a game.
The only positive for us is Moreno doesn't play.

We all acknowledge there are risks with Luiz. But when he is on his game he is still our best CB imo, and apart from Azpi, only one who can hit long and accurate from the back. I am pretty certain he will start.

Could make for a fascinating game, imo.
I've not really seen much of Chelsea yet this season. Is there any formation in which you could see Jorginho and Cesc starting together against a side like Liverpool? Could anyone see it working if they had Kante to mop up behind them, or would the risk outweigh the potential rewards too heavily?
Ping-pong, I don't think you'd need that many long range passers, but having at least one defender capable of occasionally picking out your wide men from deep if Jorginho is being closed out could be a potent weapon.
I've certainly seen Luiz play that sort of ball more than once, don't really know Rudiger too well.

Any team that has Hazard cannot and should not be written off
Hazard and Willian will expose those Liverpool full back who are show their naivety but do have a lot of endeavour
Mane will need to be disciplined and get back and defend too.
Key for me, other than Mr Special Hazard, are the runs Morata makes behind the center backs and Azpi picking him out or Moses whipping in a cross, or if he plays, Fabregas pass

Jorginho might actually enjoy being pressed in Chelsea's home fixture against Liverpool . While there's a more chance he'll make mistakes in that situation, there'll be more opportunity for him to demonstrate his coolness and set a high passing tempo, making football pass-and-move rather than pass-and-pass.
In either situation, whether we are pinning back the opposition or being pressed, it's difficult to make a reasonable argument for using Kante in the deepest midfield role. Sarri is a manager who prioritises possession play rather Kante's primary strengths of running, tackling and intercepting.
There remains a place for Kante in our midfield, particularly in big matches against energetic opposition, but anyone who suggests Sarri should be using Kante rather than Jorginho in a deeper position is ignoring everything we've seen from both players over the last three seasons. And also everything Sarri is trying to achieve at Chelsea.

I had an Aragonés-type midfield in mind, where a Senna-type holder who can also get forward would slot in behind a Xavi-Iniesta type pairing.
I suppose 'everything' clearly isn't enough in my case.

Also the type of MF 3 in which Toure initially anchored quite successfully for the other two early on for Pep's Barça.
