Superb game, hats off to Sarri

If we had a prime Drogba and Terry in this team we would have one of the best sides in Europe. The likes ofGiroud and Morata aren't good enough. I think we would of been better off keeping and playing Tammy Abraham.

Reckon his loan deal has some sort of clause where a full 90 mins triggers extra payments?

Cheslea will be kicking themselves they didn't win.

First off they are not far enough along to switch out of sarri's tactics when LFC boxed them in and they coughed up several chances.

Second they missed 2 sitters for a second goal.

Third their midfield was SO superior to ours until we finally binned one of the two play safe merchants we had (and kovacic went off)


finally king of the bridge is right. We got treated to chelsea's secnond string minus the two extremely good kids they should have played midweek and then their firsts this weekend. If they had morata as a confident striker (really talented lad) it would be a top top side.

As it stands imo we were minutes from pens with our second string and a crossbar form 2nd goal and the win... we got out of the bridge with a draw which was hard earned. LFC fans should actually be thinking... yeah we've a really decent squad here cos we matched up to these guys.

Cheslea imploded due to the top brass not being willing to dismiss and pay off conte. Last jan they were ironed on top 4 and flying. They ended up wining fa cup but collapsing in league.

When spurs passed us in league i feared the worst last season. We scraped into CL (though imo we could and should have had 80points if we needed to)

Thankfully this year it looks to be the case that LFC are looking up towards the top not down to 4th. We are leaving that fight to spurs and utd (though it doesn't even look a fight right now)

Yeah nothing but admiration to Chelsea. They are looking really good atm.

It was a good game with phases of dominance from both sides and I'm sure both coaches would've taken loads away from that game. I think they might've exposed a way to get around our midfield though

Winning ugly has its upsides obviously but boy does it take it out of you

Yeah Chelsea are pass the ball a hell of a lot better than most teams, can’t remember many teams that have been able to pass the ball through our press as well as they did. Obviously helps when you have players like Kovacic and Hazard.

Kovecic is very very good.

It wasn't just certain players...obviously having Jorginho & Kovacic helps a lot, but Sarri's tactics exposed our midfield a bit. They basically got one of our midfielders alone and then those triangles & diamonds and quick one touch passing around that one player and they were through to our defence.

It's basically what we did to negate Kante when we beat them 2-1 in the league in Conte's first season.

Thankfully there's only 1 other team in the league that can pass with that quickness so we're not doomed for failure just yet.
