On Thursday.
I know it's disrespectful to our opposition, but for me it's definitely a perfect opportunity and we should still win the match.
Although I'd have liked youth to succeed at Chelsea in the past I've always seen the reasons to not play them in the past. I couldn't defend the Head Coach this time.
Not only because of the standard of opponent but for these 2 players in particular, something feels different.
If we let these 2 players slip through our fingers without properly trying them I think we'd massively regret it.
Fitness allowing, CHO & Ampadu must feature

I would have added Reece James to those two but we saw fit to loan him out instead.

Yes but they won't feature extensively.

Yes but they won't feature extensively.

No one is suggesting they feature extensively, they're young players and need to be introduced gradually, increasing their exposure as they acclimatise to top level football.

Game time trumps all these days, Mount is almost certainly going to get an England call up before Foden for that very reason.

They won't feature adequately except perhaps CHO.

I see it with Hudson-Odoi. Moses has no long term future in this vision, will almost certainly be gone this time next year, so CHO should be ahead of him in the pecking order + I'd start him on Thursday in Sarri's position.
Ampadu no. Long term no-one knows yet but Christensen & Cahill should start against Videoton. I'm assuming Sarri's shying away from Christensen because of his lack of experience in a back 4, so he needs these EL matches to build confidence in them + needs an experienced CB partner beside him.

Didn't Christensen play in a back 4 during his 2 year loan spell in the Bundesliga? I think the guy has enough experience.
Cahill will probably be gone in January so I see no point in starting him. Ampadu has shown he's ready to take the next step to senior football.
Moses should have been sold or at least loaned out. He's never been a good winger. Taking valuable minutes from CHO.

Nah was a back 3 + plays in a back 3 for Denmark too. Pretty much all his professional career has been spent in back 3's. It's the only reason I can see why Sarri's not picking him over Luiz.
Christensen's the proven commodity talent so he should get priority in the EL matches, if Sarri's worried about him for whatever reason he should partner him with Cahill.
Think not selling Moses straight away was tactful squad management, didn't want to rattle any cages as a new manager of a very sensitive group, smart IMO. Picking him over CHO in line? Don't agree with that.

Not true.
Christensen played back four all his career at youth level then back 4 initially at Gladbach (under Lucien Favre), before change of manager switched to back three.
For Denmark has been playing both back three (before Agger retired) and back four after Agger retired.
Denmarks recent qualification/warm-up matches played mostly in back 4 and world cup as was seen played in back 4 (and DM against France & Croatia).

What Luiz has in his favour that Christensen doesn't have is a big personality.
Sarri (and predecessors) likes the character and obvious technical ability initially, then realise defensive flaws.
Easy to be taken in by Luiz, such a likeable endearing person.
