Unbelievable as it sounds, Sky Sports have today announced plans to launch the Chess channel. A spokesman for the media giant said “ We have identified a niche market in the Salford area of Manchester who are prepared to pay good money to be bored senseless whilst watching competitive sports/games and we think there is a wonderful opportunity to grab market share from this audience. If all goes well with the channel then we will look to offer this service into the county of Surrey where our research suggests their is a like minded audience to the Salford market segment.

I used to play as a teenager against my dad. I used to play a Klopp up and at em kind of game, were my dad would adopt a more reserved Mourinho kind of game.
I gave up after getting check mated in under 20 moves all the time!

I am mocking United. The fact that Mourinho is in charge doesn’t take away the fact that your club is currently a feckin laughing stock and an embarrassment.

During the 60s there was a TV series named Chess Masterpieces or something similar. I’m sure it was aired on a Sunday afternoon before Star Soccer/Football.
I think the pieces were moved around without sight of a hand and the matches were narrated, but by whom I know not. At the end, the defeated King was carried away by pawns as though on a stretcher.
