In normal circumstances i'd be concerned Jose would pull off his trademark 0-0 or 0-1 smash and grab vs footballing sides.

Tbh if anything United are getting under rated at the moment, will still be a very tough game regardless of Jose trying to kill them and ruin them, still got pogba, fellaini, martial, mata, rashford, lukaku, sanchez etc and de gea who is always world class vs us

When was DDG last world class all game vs us? He obviously made some class saves vs us but i can't remember ever watching us play United and feeling DDG is the reason we didn't win, were probably the only team that say that though

Most of us on here were meh about it as I remember, more regret that we replaced him with Bakayoko than selling him on merit.

The media were the ones bemused by the sell mainly.

It depends whether Mourinho sets out to lock down the left side to shackle Hazard (what West Ham did), or attack the left side to get in behind Alonso (what Arsenal did). Take anyone who could play RW for you bar Mata and they'll get behind Alonso, so you'll have fruitful counters in this particular game if Jose thinks aggressively.

It's not a write off. I'd call us to win yeah, but wouldn't be surprised at all if you got a result.

Agree....Jose it at his best when trying to stop passing teams play. I expect a really tough game with United looking to exploit set pieces and our persistent weakness in defending crosses to the far post

I remember most sane people being over the moon.

I remember the media suddenly turning him into Patrick Vieira as soon as it was confirmed Utd were interested and that he was going there.
