Apparently some of them are traveling to Croatia for Friday's game even though it'll be behind closed doors.
I don't want to hear about how these are "real" fans and all that nonsense.
Are they somehow hoping that they'll sneak into the ground and no one will notice them?
What's the point of spending all that money to travel there just to watch the match on the telly in a pub?
Or am I missing something here?

Croatia is one of the most beautiful places in Europe. Hvar is great and the lakes are simply breathtaking.
I doubt that's whga the England fans are going for though

I wrote an article saying similar. There are some very strange people about. Nothing wrong with visiting Croatia, but to say you are going to go because of a football match, you cannot get in to see, seems rather a complete waste of time and money.

When teams play away in Europe they often take as many without tickets as those that go with. This is all nothing new.

Yes, but there's always the hope you can nab a ticket and get in. If they bought the flights etc.. beforehand without knowing it was behind closed doors, then fair enough.
Why's it behind closed doors anyway?

There really isn’t. Most European always have hundreds of fans who travel without just for the crack

The people are cool as well. Good beer, beautiful landscapes, all good.
