Noticeable absentees at Stockport train station today: Sanchez, Dalot (injured), Fellaini, Lingard, Valencia, Mctominay. Jones still out injured too.
Unless some are meeting up in London and Jose is playing games. Can't say I'm too bothered about most of them missing though.
Young at right back up against Hazard looks likely. He did do well Vs Salah last season twice so hopefully he can do it again.
Hopefully we go at them. Sitting back never gets us a result there and it won't tomorrow so whats the point? Although not holding my breath on this one.

Sanchez was limping just before he scored against Newcastle, so I'm guessing he picked up an injury in that game. With him not being with the main group, I'd say it's highly unlikely he'll feature.

I've always liked Giroud as a player. Never been absolutely prolific but still a capable goalscorer and his build up play is vastly underrated.

Apparently Alexis played for Chile in midweek so that destroys my theory 😂

City should walk it again this year. They’ve already done well and that’s without their best player to come back

Yep.
Really can’t see past City. People have said they’ve not hit the heights of last season yet, and they might be right, but they’ve just got too much quality.
For me, the best striker in the league, a plethora of talent in his supporting cast, the two best CMs in the league, top drawer fullbacks... and cohesion. They just don’t know how to lose the football, and I think they’ll hit 90 points again this season.

And other than at DM and, arguably, up top, they could suffer a host of injuries and still be fine.
Only we have the same kind of depth as them anywhere in the league.

It must be frustrating being Giroud
Scored an improvised flick goal which experts raced about, moved to a top side like Chelsea and helped his country to win the World Cup
And yet he’s not considered a top striker?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some people only judge players on goals/stats
They don’t see that even with no notable stats other players can appreciate players like Giroud hugely. The unsung hero

Giroud, as a striker, played in all but two games for France in the World Cup, didn't have 1 single shot on target in the whole tournament, and walked away with a World Cup winners medal.

France won the world cup because their defence was solid and they had Mbappe, Griezmann and Pogba playing well.

They will probably win it again, but wont be walking away with the title.
Think Liverpool will push them all the way, as will Chelsea to a lesser extent.

I can’t see past city for the title but I’m hoping for a closer fight this season with Chelsea and Liverpool in the mix.
