At the end of the game yesterday, Mourinho and the Chelsea 2nd assistant had a bit of a spat. Afterwards it was dealt with by the people involved and they've agreed to move on. So nothing really to discuss there.
After the incident, the Chelsea fans had the temerity to boo him and chant "Eff off Mourinho." I was listening to 606 yesterday evening (for my sins) and there were a lot of United fans saying it was out of order and that seemed to be a general consensus.
I disagree completely. Jose was the opposition manager and so long as things don't get personal, booing and chanting against him isn't an issue. I like the pantomime atmosphere at football games and his past achievements at Chelsea shouldn't make him exempt from such chants imo. It wasn't vitriolic or personal and I'd be willing to bet that if he'd gone over to applaud those fans at the end of the game, they'd have responded in kind, due to the lack of real malice.
Just wanted to see if people thought it was poor form by the Chelsea fans, or like me, saw no issue with it whatsoever

You are so upset Conte outdone Jose ain't you
-----------------------------------------------------------
Feel Jose's gunna be asked an awkward question by some poor journalist regarding Conte very soon.
Looks very likely he'll be the new Real manager within a matter of days. Really hope he bites
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just imagine if United get thumped by Contes Real and Los Blancos go on to win it.
Mou would be Wenger starting beating him away from rage quitting football full stop.
-----------------------
Conte makes Jose seem like an expansive coach. Hard to see how a coach who insists on lining up with 8 defensive players will preside over a thumping of anyone - though he did beat United 4-0 at Chelsea 😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Despite the score only being 1-0, the following season at The Bridge was even more comprehensive.

The expand merry I felt the 4-0 was down to us taking our t chances and you not.
The 1-0 a year later I feel was the best we have ever played against you including the 5-0.

The difference is, while we have recent managers who have failed us, and may gripe about it online, we haven't told them to f off like Chelsea fans did with a legend of theirs.

Moyes & LVG isn't comparable to Mourinho in the slightest. It would be like if Ferguson came out of retirement to manage a rival and slagged off United + called him new teams fans better than the Red Army.
If that happened and United fans held their nerve better than we have fair enough, until then any comments by United fans about us being disrespectful is plain rival fan ignorance. And I don't mean that in a bad way, all fans are guilty of that to some degree.

I'm sure that they also found Jose saying United fans as being the best in the world disrespectful, even if it is true <wink>.

It wasn't necessarily the comment itself, which fanbase is better than another is completely subjective, it was the fact in Mourinho's eyes there should be no comparison. We were chanted his name, unanimously behind him why'll we were 16th. No other fanbase on the planet (beside maybe Inter) would've shown such unconditional support for him, specifically him.

Most people don't want to hear these truths though. The vast majority of Chelsea fans stuck behind Jose even though he totally lost the plot and had us teetering above the relegation zone at the end of his second stint.
Either way he's currently Utd manager and as long as he's there he's the enemy. Just as Klopp is at Liverpool, Pep at City etc.

How any United fans can get on the moral high ground after doing this to one of their greatest players

Any United fans who doubt our support of Jose during that horror season need only watch a re-run of the Dynamo Kiev game. Nothing but 'Jose Mourinho' & 'Stand up for the Special One' chants from the 1st to 90th minute.
Never seen such a passionate demonstration of support for a manager in my life. Was one game where fans who used to accuse Chelsea fans relationship with Mourinho as cult like actually had a point

It makes me laugh when people say fans should get a say (that statement was rife among the Chelsea support when Rafa was appointed).
If the average Chelsea fan got a say in how the clubs run i dread to think what state we would be in

True. I'm one of those nerdy fans who thinks I know everything and I'd would've made some right dumb decisions in Roman's position down the years.
Most recent example was our managerial situation this summer. I was always fine with Sarri but I'd have either just paid the release clause straight away (so thrown money away for nothing) or given up on him and taken Jardim instead..... and, yeahhhhhhhhhh
