The Telegraph is claiming that Puel is dropping Vardy today despite JV being fit to play after having a stomach bug and being back in training.
Puel seems to be saying that Vardy is struggling this Season citing the world Cup and being sent off being behind it, nothing about his own team tactics being involved at all of course.
JV did miss a couple of chances he'd normally put away ( Everton wasn't it ? ) but I think it was KTF who posted his incredible scoring stats in the Premier League recently.
It's well known that JV doesn't train like normal Players but seems to keep pace and fitness perfectly well, is age playing a part or is something going on away from football that is affecting him?
This begs the question, is it because JV 'hid' his illness on Monday night and cost us a substitution, this is pay back?
Is JV the King pin of Player Power and with his Lieutenants stripped out of the team does Puel now have the power to sideline JV just like so many of his mates, a plan all along?
Will he play and the Telegraph was wrong, a shot across the bows to JV to buck up?
There's only one thing I am totally sure of, if he doesn't play and we struggle, it will undermine Puel to an extent it will be the beginning of the end for him, the fans could turn on him in even bigger numbers.
A West Ham team at half strength struggling for consistency is a MUST win at home.
Vardy Dropped?

TB - The manager should be able to drop whoever he wants if he considers it to the benefit of the team. If he makes the decision and it isn’t, and he doesn’t learn from that, that’s another matter. But all we have right now is speculation of a decision being made without any kind of evidence as to what happens. Let’s wait a week or two before we order the noose knotted.

Well of he should be able to but he survives by those decisions, very understandable if their's a player pushing to replace him but after spending about £100 million on forwards recently there's not one a patch on his quality.
It could just be he's not fit enough but thinks he is, Puel and the backroom staff would be totally correct in over ruling JV if this is the case, some players will always want to play no matter what.

He's replaced by Ghezzal, not positionally of course, with JV on the bench.

If a player is sick or slightly injured the training staff and medics would have reported that in there assessment of the player, which either means drop the player for a match or talk to all concerned and see if said player could compete for 60minutes at 100% and set up the substitutions appropriately,
If its the manager stamping his authority on the squad the player, team and directors will probably have been informed either officially or otherwise,
Theres mo way of knowing what is going on especially at Leicester as very little gets out about anything,,,
But if vardy is dropped and hes announced to the press that he's fit
I expect 50% of today's fans will be bringing a rope with them and if we lose
The peasants will be at the gates with the pitch folks and torches ?
For mr puel has to regain the confidence of the majority of fans and possibly the directors,
Make no mistake this and the cup match match are must win games !

Ricardo dropped after playing really well going forwards recently, at home to West Ham when we should be going for them.

On the bench so is he dropped, surely if there's doubt start with him and bring him off as you suggested, not potentially waste a sub?

Well, if he’s gonna drop Vardy I think he’s picked the right players to do it. Like the look of the team on paper.
Let’s see...
