That's what I said. We made the £89m back that we spent on Pogba, from shirt sales, and the rest of the Pogba shirt sale money (approx. £752.6m) went to Adidas, hence they can afford to buy Real Madrid. It is not difficult to understand.

That's what I said. We made the £89m back that we spent on Pogba, from shirt sales, and the rest of the Pogba shirt sale money (approx. £752.6m) went to Adidas, hence they can afford to buy Real Madrid. It is not difficult to understand.

No you didnt make it back on shirt sales, because United doesnt get much from selling a shirt.

Clubs will traditionally receive an annual fee – for example, Manchester United receives £75 million per year from Adidas, Chelsea receives an initial £60 million per year from Nike, and Arsenal receives £30 million per year from Puma – and then 10-15% of the revenue the kit manufacturer generates from shirt sales.

I doubt you made 89 million of selling Pogba shirts in the past 2 years.

We made £89m in the first year. Then for the 2nd year it was all profit. It is one of the most profitable business deals, not only in sport, but in business in general. You just have to look at the New York Stock Exchange

1. Apple
2. Pogba shirt sales
3. Alphabet
4. Microsoft.

So just one company more profitable than Pogba shirt sales. It's an incredible achievement by the club.
