He's come along ways since the gangly, flappy handed stopper we signed in 2011, he's gone on to be arguably the best in the world, but weirdly, doesn't seem as confident for Spain. Maybe he just has less to do, maybe he's a bit more anxious? Either way, he's be great for us which is all that matters.

Can't help but feel he's wasting his career at United and I'm a diehard United fan.
We clearly aren't going to win any major honours anytime soon and for whatever reason, Spanish players that play in England never get the recognition they deserve in Spain (or Europe).
If he played for one of the big 2 in Spain, he would've been in every FIFA World XI team for the past 4/5 years, yet he's barely been nominated playing for us.
