The FA should be investigating themselves for appointing somebody from the Manchester area to referee a game featuring any Manchester club. It's ridiculous.

FA is trying to reduce costs. Officials get additional pay for miles driven to and from stadium and this was the most cost effective solution!

It's comments like these that can easily swing a game by 3 goals in a teams favour as the referee doesn't want to appear biased to the side that didn't try to influence the game.

That’s it in a nutshell

It was a blatent plan to influence the ref to allow 44 passes and a goal for the third.

It needs looking at.

Or 104 passes in the first 12 minutes with United only 12 of which 5 completed.

He nissed the push on Aguero, he missed the Smalling handball, annd he missed the elbow on Sane all in your penalty area.

Maybe Pep should have suggested a trip to Specsavers for the ex United season ticket holder.

People, especially journos, used to moan that Pellegrini's press conferences were bland and gave no room for a sensational story. He knew how to field the leading questions.
If Pep does get charged then the journo who asked the question should be banned from press conferences at City.
They did it with that snake Dan Roan

Just re-read it, what exactly did he say wrong?

Not on the same level as Fergie's comments about the officials just before United played Roma a few years back.

Managers are not allowed to comment about refs pre-match at all. Doesn't matter what is said. Was always going to get pulled up about it.

Happened this season to another manager (Benitez I think), happened previously with Mourinho. Happened a few years ago with Fergie, Ancelotti and Pulis all on the same weekend. Fergie got fined, the other 2 got an angry letter each.

Managers get caught out by journalists looking to get them in trouble. Tbh, the press officers should be present and shut down any questions re the ref. And the journalists should be made aware they'll be banned if they ask about the ref.

104 passes in the first twelve minute was a cynical plan by Pep to hypnotize the referee! I say he gets a 10 game suspension without an option to appeal!

btw. Some people are little thin skinned, especially when their team loses.

This, if there is a press officer in the room they need to step in and tell the manager not to answer and ask the journo to leave the room.

If managers have to stick to the rule and so do journos.

I hate facking journos.

This 100% our press officer should have stepped in and had the journalist reprimanded or removed.
