By the way David Luiz should never put a Chelsea shirt on again. That was the worst performance of any central defender I can remember, it was almost as bad as his turn at the World Cup semi final in 2014

The worst performance I've ever seen was the one against City at the Etihad under Conte last season.

Nothing even comes close to that!

I was just about to say the same thing Brum,but yesterday was bloody awful as well.I think that Sarri will sort the problems out ,especially in defense,maybe even cuff a few ears !.
As for the C/F, well, how long must we tolerate a complete waste of space in the team?,hopefully he will be gone in January.

Conte should have been given his marching orders for that.

That game last season against City, really bought into question my loyalty to Chelsea !

It certainly bought into question my loyalty for Conte, there was absolutely no excuse for it. If he was trying to make a statement about something, then my message to him would be - don't do it with my club!

I rate sarry, but I dont understand why kante isnt dm. I think he is the best in the world in that position.

Because his game is all about proactively anticipating, as a sole DM he would leave a lot of gaps in behind.

His best comes in a two man midfield with a holder behind him.

That’s not what happened at Leicester. Drinkwater didn’t sit behind him in a holding position, that was a two man midfield.

Kante is world class as an interceptor, in the middle of the park reading the game and intercepting from the front, but also seeing the danger and dropping deep to do the same.

Sarri is using him as neither one or the other right now a I couldn’t figure out what he was supposed to be doing yesterday. At one point, as the smallest player on the pitch, he was stood in the box waiting for a cross to come in!

That was an absolute shambles yesterday

Kante at the base of a 4-3-3 would leave an incredible amount of gaps between the lines. To play this position you need to be disciplined positionally and good at passing. Kante is not a bad passer of the ball, however he is too aggressive.

Conte tried it at Chelsea for his first few games, and massively backfired, particularly against Arsenal, where Kante was picked apart by Ozil.

From a cowardice pov that was horrendous but ultimately as sad as it is Conte went into it looking for a respectable scoreline and got it.

The three mentioned above we looked like 10 guys who won the chance to play in a PL game with a pro keeper.
