'Be careful what you wish for'
[How things have changed since April 2018!]
That sage piece of advice has come around to smack the Ipswich fans straight between the eyes.
There are no redeeming factors for Ipswich; only won once all season and that was 2-3 away to Swansea on 6th October. Chalobah got himself on the score sheet [84th minute] along with an own goal and a effort from Edwards. The rest of the time they either lose [10] or draw [8]
Edwards [no 7] seems to pop up with a goal every so often.
The weather, the club and everything else has gotton on top of Paul Lambert to the extent that he's now telling jokes... and he's only been there since 27th October.
'Lambert, 49, has overseen two draws after taking charge in October following Paul Hurst's sacking.
Ipswich are five points adrift at the bottom, but former Norwich City, Aston Villa and Stoke City manager Lambert thinks the deficit can be made up quickly.
"It's nothing really," he told BBC Radio Suffolk. "We can make that up in the space of two games if results go our way.
They didn't
I expect baring injuries an almost identical Forest side to start tomorrow, perhaps Geddy might replace Yacob who looked as if he was carrying a knock. Osborn to bring some fresh legs into midfield after half time?
Given another disciplined performance from the Reds [and better defending] this must be a comfortable home win?

Commentary said that he went down off the ball; slight muscle pull perhaps? hope!

Maybe caught his studs as he cleared the ball. Couldn’t have been timed any worse with all the other absentees.

Good win again. Looking pretty strong at home.

I think ipswitch only had one real chance.
Could have made this a slog but scored early and played competently all over.
Even pantz had a good game, big, strong, good distribution, booked for time wasting, everything you want from a keeper.
On the back of a busy week, ending it as comfortable as we did, it’s a good sign. I would be worried if I was a tractor boy though

Waiting on WBA vs Brentford, but 5th, and a point off 3rd is a great place to be sat.
Most draws, Least losses, top scorer
Preston next.
WBA vs Villa will be a massive game for those in the top half. Villa just demolished boro at their own place. If we beat preston, were certain to either pull away from the pack, or make ground on WBA, or both.

Sorry, did you say 'good distribution'?
It was appalling. He also carried on playing in slow motion after being booked for time wasting. Nowhere near as good as he thinks he is.

After watching a poor Ipswich side yesterday. I wonder how many of their fans now regret hounding McCarthy out of the club.

Yep, grass isn’t always greener. Outside looking in, their chairman doesn’t seem to be pushing them on at all. The rot starts at the top generally.

Probably planning for life in League One!
He should have come out and taken the heat off McCarthy in previous seasons, he would have kept them in the division.

Honestly thought pantz distribution wasn’t all that bad. I cant only remember him clearing it to touch once, never really had any chances to hit them on the counter either. Felt more like last seasons hostile costel.
His timewastings is commically bad.
