Yes, it's a derby day and yes, if your strip away the media hype, and the razzmatazz glory seeking behind all those matches, there is a story that you might have overlooked or missed.
The story of rival away fans who turned up to their hosts venue with a big banner.
A massive banner, in fact - so huge it covered few fans underneath it.
Though this banner wasn't their to mock the hosts.
No, this banner was there to thank their hosts. Specifically the hosts previous chairman.
Yes, this was Watford fans at Leicester.
The banner simply said "Thank you Vichai for allowing us all to dream"!
What an act from Watford fans
The son and chairman of the hosts side treated them to free food and drinks. Yet another humble and touching gesture.
Yes, football is important to us fans.
But sometimes, we need to put the rivalry behind us and reunite as humans.
Side note to football

Saw that. Class act from all sides. And it's really good to see that Vichai's son looks like he'll carry on his father's great work. Paying for the free food and drinks wasn't something anybody would expect, it was just a classy gesture showing gratitude to another classy gesture. Great stuff all round

Absoultely vichai’ had a history of gestures like that, small but class acts, great to see it being carried on, especially in this era of premier league greed.

Thanks morespurs for bringing this to the attention of those who may have missed it.
Watford fans were class yesterday and Top (Vichai's son) responded similarly.
TBF I think the fans of all clubs have been excellent in the response to the helicopter tragedy. Really shows that footie fans have a sense of perspective and empathy, even though occasionally we appear otherwise.

Thanks for giving us Leicester fans to once again thank Watford for their gesture.
It will be remembered for a long long time.
