Salah has 42 league goals

since the start of last season.

Our top scorer post SAF is Rooney with 55 in total.

Says all you need to know about our attackers really.

Says that Salah has been amazing since returning to England, and that we've had 3 shiyte managers.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Suarez scored 31 goals in a PL campaign under Rodgers. Kevin Phillips scored 30 at Sunderland under Peter Reid.

Andy Johnson and Jamie Beattie scored something like 25 under Iain Dowie and Gordon Strachan ffs. Look at Vardy and Charlie Austin’s goal records in recent seasons.

Manager aside, our forwards haven’t been up to standard given the quality of the players supporting them.

Martial and Rashford are still very young players; I’ll give them that. They should have years and years of improvement in front of them, hopefully at United.

But Lukaku should have a better record. Ibra should have had. Rooney in his last few seasons. Di Maria, Falcão, Sanchez... None of them delivered what we would and should have expected.

That will largely be to do with the fact they had Moyes, LVG and Jose managing them though.

There are a host of players who have racked up better records under managers with vastly inferior records and qualities to Moyes, LVG and Mourinho.

Yeah more to it than just the managers. Not wanting to be at the club, injuries and being finished as top level players due to burn out have been contributing factors to some of those players.

Really?

Do elaborate.

Rooney was only really a success under Fergie (an attacking manager)

Di Maria at Real Madrid & PSG (two attacking sides)

I don't think it takes much to realise somebody like Jose will naturally get less out of an attacker than a Klopp or somebody similar.

I think Rooney's figure here includes all competitions.

Clueless. How is it that Mourinho, a supposedly defensive manager, got more out of Ibrahimovic than Guardiola, the bestest most entertainingist manager ever, did? It's not that simple.

I’ve listed some above: Beattie, Vardy, Kevin Phillips, Darren Bent, Andy Johnson, Benny McCarthy, Sturridge, Benteke... Viduka scored a hatful of goals under average managers whose teams played turgid football. All in inferior teams under less successful managers, many of whom weren’t trying to beat the opposition 4-3.

Jose has had strikers who have netted for him historically at excellent rates: Milito, Costa, Drogba, Ronaldo and Benzema are the obvious examples. So did LVG. Ours haven’t been able to reach those levels.

I’m not arguing that part of it hasn’t been as a result of negative tactics. But Rooney couldn’t hit a barn door after Fergie retired. Ibra missed an absolute ton of sitters between his worldies. Falcão was simply pathetic. As Sanchez has been. Di Maria’s mind was elsewhere. Depay was more interested in stepovers and Bentleys. Lukaku in large part hasn’t been the same player he was at Everton.

We’ve been let down to some extent by all of the above.
