First of all, a lot more coming out now about Griffiths and he did go missing on Monday night which sort of ties in with the rumours regarding his awful state of mind at the start of the week.
As expected, most people have been understanding of his situation but a few have chose to point score over it, imagine going all the way to Vienna to chant about a guy from your rivals suffering from mental health issues.
Thought Gerrard and McLeish both talking on it was a nice touch, good to see the people who matter all behind him, he’ll need all the support he can get, as expected there will be a minutes applause on 9 minutes tonight. Hopefully he and his kids can take some comfort from the support he’ll receive.
Onto the game then, should be an absolute cracker tonight and I expect a very tough game. A draw is enough to see us through but it would be terrific to win the game, add more points to the co-efficient and finish on an impressive 12 points from the group.
Looking for a big performance from Eddy tonight and for the next 3 weeks to be honest as he’s our only option now so there’s a lot of pressure on the young boy but I’m confident he can handle it.
Defence and midfield picks itself tonight and we need to ensure we move the ball between the lines quickly. Salzburg will have a few chances so we need Gordon and our centre half’s to be at the top of their game tonight.
Anyone know if we have ever won 3 European group games in a row as well? That’s another incentive tonight.

We’ve got one today whose full of sympathy for Griffiths and how he needs help etc.
Fair enough.
Then someone digs up hid tweets about black and gazza and their issues . The journo has been making jokes about it and generally being unsympathetic.
Do these guys not realise it’s all out there and they are gonna get shown up?
Should just scrap the whole industry as it’s not fit for purpose.
