the 4-0 I was thinking it might be, but nevertheless three points is three points. I have only seen the highlights on Match of the Day, looked pretty one sided, and once again chances galore. I was pleased with the win when I say the team I was slightly apprehensive, but Poch knows best.
All going pretty well as I planned at the start of the season, other than my little wobble a couple of weeks back, when I thought maybe injuries may scupper the season. Let`s now get the game at the Emirates out of the way, win or lose, and then really start to see Spurs push for the summit.
Come the end of the first month of the New Year I expect as I said a while back, the title race to become a two horse bun fight for the title between Spurs and Man City. Liverpool I can see dropping away fairly quickly in the New Year, squad in my opinion nowhere as good as either Spurs or Man City. Decent First XI, but they are just a couple of injuries away from having a problem trying to compete in three competitions, let alone the four that Spurs are competing in. Spurs have shown whatever team they put out, whether the A listers, the B listers, or the kids, like Skipp, KWP, Winks etc, they are capable of getting results.
All looking good, and on to Everton next weekend now, after trousering the Gooners midweek.
COYS
Great result yesterday, not quite

Sandy, it was a wretched performance and we certainly did not have "chances galore". We struggled to break them down but we managed to score in the end so that's what matters.
Personally, I worry about how clinical we are (or aren't as the case may be). We never thump poor teams as we need alot of chances to score. Tuesday is a great example.
It's amazing we are still where we are and so close to the leaders given how well they are playing though.

OK mate, I worry as well about the amount of chances Spurs need to score as well. But at least they still seem to be getting positive results.

Out of all the games we have lost, we only deserved to lose at Arsenal, our performance at Watford merited at least a draw, we should have had an equalizer against City and should have had an equalizer against Pool but Michael Oliver ignored the last minute penalty for the foul on Sonny.
You can`t say we have been gifted any points along the way (so far) through fortunate refereeing, because we haven`t.

Was thinking about this last night after the game. This is what the table would like had those results come in:
Man C P17 44pts gd37
Spurs P17 42pts gd18
L'pool P16 40pts gd27
Still if my aunty had bollox.....

I’m confused...
Earlier in the season you told some of us to stop moaning about the performances as we were picking up points. Then you moaned about the Southampton performance despite us picking up points. Now you’re saying “but nethertheless three points is three points”.
You’ve also often criticised or disagreed with the rotation of the team, saying we need a settler lineup etc, yet now you’re saying “Poch knows best”....
Do you just change your mind just to get comments ,or do you genuinely forget what you’ve said in the not too distant past?

They showed a graphic on MOTD yesterday post-Spurs game with the teams that have changed their line ups the most this season, and we were in the top 5. It was only minutes after or before they were talking about how this was our highest total of points at this stage in any PL season.
Rotation.

We deserved to lose against Watford too. Clearly didn't do enough to win the game.

Disagree there, other than the last 15 minutes, Spurs had the game under complete control, without being brilliant. But still did more than enough to win. Watford only came to life in the closing stages when the ball was being pumped into the box.

I disagree that we didn’t have chances galore.
We made 4 huge chances plus the goal so we didn’t create even against a back 8 they was playing.
Plus we had a stonewall pen turned down.

I've never bought into this idea that teams deserve wins based on controlling games. You have to actually put the ball into the back of the net as well and defend better than your opponents.
We should have won but we didn't deserve to.

Are you seriously saying Burnley should have then? From what I saw Spurs had some great chances and Burnley had next to nothing. have I missed something?
