Looking at the Fixtures for the next 2-3 months, in the run up to Xmas, we have a real opportunity to extend our lead over Celtic.
We have 13 games before the next old Firm, while they have 18 (hopefully we both have more in the CIS cup if get through tomorrow night). But Celtic have 5 tough Europa League games to play, and the fixutres Celtic have after they've played in Europe are all pretty tough.
4 out of the 5 games Celtic play after Europe are away, and to teams like Hearts, Motherwell, Dundee Utd and St Johnstone, who've already beaten Celtic.
Celtic v Udinese….followed by Hearts away at Tynecastle
Rennes v Celtic….followed by Aberdeen at Parkhead
Celtic v Rennes….followed by Motherwell at Fir park
Celtic v Atletico Madrid…followed by Dundee utd at Tannadice
Udinese v Celtic…followed by St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park
I really cant see this Celtic team taking 3 points after all of these Euro games.
If Rangers can go on a good run and focus on the league, while playing the youngsters/fringe players in the CIS cup, then we could go into the next old firm with a big lead in the SPL.
The games to xmas will decide the SPL title

"we could go through this season undefeated"
That's exactly the sort of thing that's said before we fk things up!
We could easily just mess up at the weekend then that's messed up the hard work of winnin the OF game.
I'm way too long in the tooth to go for any rash predictions

Well said Rats Juice. Keep the team focused and take one game at a time. No point in any of the "if they" or "if we" stuff.

I totally agree...I was just pointing out that while we have no european games at all, they have really tough games after each Euro night.
Probably couldnt have picked tougher games after Euro for them than us, hearts, utd and Motherwell all away from home.
I'm hoping they drop points while we kick on.
But football is a funny old game. Maybe the games coming thick and fast will help celtic rather than hinder.
We need to make sure we take our chance to pile the pressure on them by winning before they play!

rats
if your going to quote at least quote the whole thing and don't just pick and choose.
i have stated that we have a lot of work and games to go and that consistency is key.
sill my opinion that if we don't suffer any serious injuries then that team is more than capable of going undefeated, thats not say we'll win every game. we will drop points but it's how we react that will define our season.
i also stated that we messed up last year after the first OF win and the mopst important thing is a win at the weekend

I know what you're sayin Bluebear, that we could well be able to take advantage of Celtic's heavy schedule. I'm must hopin that there will be no major changes at Rangers this season. IF we were to lose Jelavic or Daivs in January we could be in serious trouble.
