I honestly do not see the headroom for improvement with much of this squad. Personally, the inconsistency is not much to do with a lack of understanding with Sarri's style - I think we are just asking too much of very limited players to perform to the required standard.
In many ways we are the same team as we were under Conte and Mourinho. The same problems with strikers, fullbacks, lack of rotation, all leading to stuttered consistency. Its the same team, just with a new coat of paint.
It is quite ridiculous how our results mostly depend on whether one player is able to perform.
We desperately need a new RW, striker and LB, or at least give some younger players a chance, as we are wasting our time with much of this deadwood

Definitely a striker or even 2 . Maybe 1 and batshuayi.
Need a new starting leftback but that might be able to wait till the summer.
Need a new effective winger that scores and maybe try CHO too. Got rid of one that is now the top marksman in the prem.
Sell Willian if another bid comes in.

We passed the ball around sideways and didn't have a shot on target.
A lot of meaningless possession where the ball is passed so slowly and so many touches from players.

We are atrocious at times. The off the ball movement and positioning is incredibly poor and the work rate by some players willian being the main culprit is frustrating.
Sarri did pretty much the changes I wanted today so it's difficult for me to accuse him but.. our team isn't great and actually I don't think it's too 4 material. I think arsenal will pip us to 4th.

Agree. As technically adept as Kovacic is, he just doesn’t seem to work with both Kante and Jorginho, as none of the 3 are goalscorers. Surely RLC is the best alternative in our current squad. He’s not the finished product yet, but would certainly offer more of a goal threat from midfield.
