In season 1954/55 Chelsea won

the old 1st division with just 52 points, with the old points system of two points for a win. That was comprised of 20 wins, 12 draws and 10 losses, making in today`s money just 72 points to win the title from 42 games, four more games played than today`s 38 games. Even Leicester who were relegated that season had 47 points using the three points for a win system, whereas today you may only need say 33 points or something like that to stay up this season, the bottom clubs are that bad.

So how many points is it going to take to win the title? I suspect aroundabout 90-95 points is going to be needed. Bearing in mind that not yet even at the halfway stage, the top thee are already into the 40s, 48, 44, 42 respectively.

Problem is there are not that many teams the top teams drop points to other than when they play each other. One or two funny results like Palace winning Saturday, but they are few and far between.

Can you name a pub outside Stamford Bridge? Or a stand in the ground?

Matthew Harding stand and I haven’t been for 28 years

The Dove near Hammersmith Bridge. That's the very very best pub in the area.
Oh yes, and Craven Cottage is nearby, just in case you want to watch a real football match!
