This defender will definitely improve Man United.
He was on a Liverpool shortlist before we bought VVD.
He is very good in 1v1 and can play the ball from the back.
Very good header of the ball and will form a good partnership with Baily.
He is now playing against Inter.
Koulibaly

Rojo needs to go. And Id let Jones go too. Gets I hired too much. Only a matter of time till he's out again.
Koulibally, Bailly, Smalling, Lindelof......I'd be delighted with that.

But what about Smalling and Baillys regular injuries?
And Lindelof is useless against big, powerful strikers.

I don't trust one of our CBs. All of them have a calamity in them. We need two proper CBs. I'd get rid of rojo in January, I don't think I've ever seen a worse defender with the ball at his feet in a United shirt than him. Love his passion but we need more than that. Our defence is the first thing that needs sorting above anything else. Koulibaly would be a magnificent signing and would elevate us straight away.

Smalling regular injuries? His fitness record since being at United isn't that bad. He's had the odd absence but I don't think he's injury prone at all.
Bailly maybe he is however I think he's been awfully managed by Jose. Willing to see whether he can get back into the team which i think he belongs in.

I don't think there's a natural leader amongst any of our defenders particularly at cb where it's needed and where we've always had one

That's a real worry. Individually I rate Bailly and Smalling; Lindelof I still hope can become a good ball-playing CB for us; and Jones and Rojo are always capable of putting together runs of solid performances. But no pairing totally convinces me as there is not that Rio/Stam/Vidic, that ultra-dependable rock.

I'm surprised how little Milan Skriniar gets mentioned in terms of Serie A CBs.
Whenever I've seen him he's looked pretty flawless for someone still quite young. Lacks a little pace compared to Koulibaly but makes up for it elsewhere. He can play out from the back too.
Now though that Spurs have triggered their option of another year in Alderweireld's contract, even at 30 years old, £25 million is very tempting for such a quality PL proven CB.
Interested to see if we will be active in January given our managerial situation.

For me, Jones would still be our best centreback if he wasn't so injury-prone. He could've had a magnificent career.
Imagine how he'd come on if he had 24 or 36 months playing week-in, week-out.

During the match v Huddersfield the commentator said it was a milestone game for Phil Jones, his 150th appearance for the club, bearing in mind he's been here since 2011, that's not great

Not even close to half of our games in all comps.
In fact, that'd represent only just over 50% of our league games.

Tuanzebe given time could be better than any CB we have at the club currently.
He's coming along nicely at Villa having finally been given the opportunity he needed through the middle rather than at RB.
Unfortunately though it seems like he may have picked up an injury which will keep him out for a couple of months and I think he's back at United at the moment.
In the summer I'd let go of both of Rojo and Jones, sign somebody and add Tuanzebe to the mix.
