On Wednesday Roy Hodgson will bring his Crystal Palace side up to Wolverhampton to face a Wolves squad full of confidence and supported by another sell-out crowd.
The last time the two clubs met, Wolves won the game 1-0 thanks to a goal from Matt Doherty.
Wolves come into this game on the back of a stunning win against Spurs at Wembley after one of the best second half displays against a top 6 side that many Wolves fans can remember.
Nuno’s side have acquitted themselves admirably against the top 6 sides having taken 2 wins and 3 draws from those 7 games.
Wolves Start the new year in 7th place in the table with 29 points. For a newly promoted Club, Wolves are exceeding normal expectations but with extremely ambitious owners, further additions to the squad are to be expected in the forthcoming transfer window.
Games against the sides in the bottom half of the table have to date, not produced the points tally that Nuno would have been hoping for. With losses to Huddersfield, Brighton and Cardiff and a draw with Fulham, Wolves certainly need to up their game against the teams currently below them.
Crystal Palace recently did a bit of giant killing of their own when they visited The Etihad Stadium and came away with all 3 points after a 3-2 win. Since then, they have drawn at home to Cardiff and lost at home to Chelsea.
Currently in 14th place in the table and just 5 points clear of the drop zone, Palace have suffered largely the same problem as Wolves in creating numerous goal scoring opportunities but failing to find the net for the majority of them.
The game will be shown live on beIN Sports HD4
Gem’s prediction: 2-0

Getting back to the subject, (in deference to Wolfie), aren't Ipswich sh*t right now?

Should add I am delighted they are facked as I put them as the bottom relegation team in the championship in the KoP game and get nice bonus points and more importantly the absolute Lambert manages them.

Mick did a fantastic job at Ipswich considering the lack of investment. They recouped more from transfer sales than they paid for new signings every season he was there. But for him they would have been where they are now many years ago

He really was brilliant, it was a wonder they couldn't string a pass or two together and kept hoofing it long really when they didn't really have to given his sheer brilliance managerially.
