What constitutes a good season for you ?

Let’s be honest, apart from our good old friend Sandy, i don’t think there’s a Spurs fan on the planet that thinks this Spurs side will win the league this season, so obviously top 4 and getting that all important CL place again is priority.

Now, whilst this would obviously be satisfying and it’s great to see our club play in the CL consistently now, we honestly have to win a trophy this season in my opinion. I would be pretty disappointed if Spurs went another season trophy less. It’s about time these group of players step up when it actually matters and give us supporters something to really celebrate this season. It’s been a great season so far in terms of progression in the CL and our league form has been mostly excellent, but it’s about time we see a trophy at this club.

It’s now been 2008 since our last trophy and it’s just not good enough for a club of our size. The league cup would be a start and as I keep saying, trophies come and that will breed success. The monkey will be off our backs and the players can go into the next season fully confident with a trophy to our name. So for me, Top 4, a good CL run ( quarter finals ) and a league cup or Fa cup should be something to aim for. Time for this group to finally deliver when it actually matters.

We need to keep CL football because without it we’d lose out on so much and I think would put us back a few years

Got to get to the final of the league cup for me and get City in the final is anyone’s game. Got to beat Chelsea over 2 legs as we are by far the better team.

Not really right though that Chelsea sign a player, then loan him straight back. You either sign him or you don`t. Complete nonsense spending £58 million then not wanting him to play until next season. Sorry, but I don`t get the modern game.

But it’s exactly what we did with Dele only for far less money. It’s the modern way I’m afraid Sandy 👍

I would dearly love to win the FA Cup.

That and a top 4 finish would be brilliant 👍

Don's post got me thinking about this season.
The club has done really well, considering the injuries to key players like Vertonghen, until.......the loss to Wolves.
You could blame that on the crowded schedule, and its true the team were 1-0 up at HT and ran out of gas second half.
Rumors that Pochettino might get offers from Real Madrid were probably scotched by that loss, so there's a silver lining!
Now then, I think the season is as at a cross roads. We're not going to catch Pool for the title. Might make second place.
How about the FA Tin Pot? Good chance of that, I think. Could be enhanced by a little business from Levy in January, but what odds would one bet on that?
How about the Euros? We scraped through the group. Now we face Dortmund who have just sold Pulisic to the Scuuuuum! But he's loaned back till season end.
Can we beat Dortmund?
If the A-team shows up, injury-free, yes, I think so. Otherwise, NO.
Beat Dortmund, and its open field running against anyone else left.
So..... win the Prem = NO.
win the FA Tin Pot = good chance.
win the European Chumpionship = possibility, 1 in 8 chance.
Now then.... just to invalidate all of that discussion is what I call the Trippier factor.
My discussion depends upon him not playing in any important games!
