The wind

Again?

Really?

What a pathetic excuse from Klopp. Next thing he will be blaming the colour of his team's kit.

I'm not going to laugh too much at this as I think their FA Cup exit, no matter what excuse given, gives them a better chance at winning the PL.

What I would say though is that their squad still isn't the strongest compared to what we were able to put out on Saturday. I don't blame Klopp for playing a 'B' team but it does put a bit more pressure on them now for the league.

As for the wind excuse he's probably deflecting from what was a pretty flat performance from them. Big test for them at the weekend now though as another poor result could make the doubts seriously creep in.

Is it even an excuse? Sounds like he's just talking in the context of the match.

Excuse or reason. Klopp isn't stupid IMO. He knows he's probably pretty much thrown the match by his selection (don't blame him to be honest with bigger fish to fry) but I don't believe he'd use the word 'wind' without thought. I could be wrong though and that he's just always really honest.

You have to excuse me though as I've had so much of the Jose mind games that I'm maybe looking for it everywhere!

"The wind didn't help, players struggled to control the ball."

The temerity.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not so much temerity, more embarrassing to be honest. Just like Jose really, but Jose backed up his nonsence with trophies

Surely you must embarrassed for him?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ashamed of nothing
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I know you're trying to be offensive but actually yeah, I'm not embarrassed or ashamed of my club. I don't like everything they do but I have absolutely zero control over the actions of any Liverpool employee so why would I feel embarrassed or ashamed of something I have no control of?

Frankly I think it's a lot stranger when people do feel a sense of embarrassment at the actions of people they've never met. It's just odd.

I suspect he was saying it about both sides as it's a leveller.

You may be right Robbing. I'm so used to manager doublespeak by now that I'm not sure what's mind games and what isn't!

All managers are cringeworthy at times and Klopp is no different. I can see why the Liverpool fans love him though.

The wind was concussed, surely?

They shouldn't put beans on the match day menu then should they.
