Brendan's comments....

Unsure if this has already been discussed on another thread, apologies if this is case.

Reading his comments in the Evening Times it's quoted him saying the following.

He was asked if there was a possibility of a big money signing this window. He replied “I don't think that's how Celtic works, the model of the club is value, talent and developing that talent, the young players that have come in fit that model. My job was to develop that increase that talent within and hopefully they can come in and do a great job for Celtic. Whether they are loan or permanent signings.

Rodgers is likely to make at least one more signing this window.

Now there is a lot to look at here, but for me the most worrying part is where he says "My job WAS to develop!...

Maybe there is nothing in it, but why say it was his job?
