Kept losing the ball literally putting our defence under pressure multiple times. I know it’s his first season with us but if we didn’t have Kante mopping up possession I don’t think we would be in the position we are in the Prem.

Overused.

Maybe, but that just highlights how valuable Kante is
Plays every game and in every game, gives it all

On paper Kante, Jorginho and Kovacic looked like the best midfield in the league at the start of the season.
Lucky for you guys Kante is so good it makes up for the other two.

I still think Sarri is still trying out different combos, so he's not 100% on his selection on every position, like Pedro/Willian and I think Sarri wants to bring in couple of his "choice" players too. Higuain is one.

Kovačić is good at beating a press but I'm not sure he's the man to dictate the tempo of a football match. Yes Jorginho has been off form of late but again we don't have players making those off the balls runs consistently enough.. twice in our last 9-10 games itd happened and Luiz manage to capitalise on it (Kanté v Palace, Pedro yesterday). City constantly have players making these runs between full back and CB and it makes it easier for De Bruyne/David Silva to attempt these passes.

Jorginho is 2nd I believe in most forward passes competed and first in attempted forward passes.. he is doing more than just sideways passes as some fans would have you believe (I really wonder if these fans even watch the full game sometimes) I feel Barkley is the real sideways pass merchant.. he isn't taking any risks and quite frankly isn't doing anything productive at all.

In conclusion, Jorginho is indeed off form but he's the type of player we can only really judge when we have players of a dimension that City have with Sterling, Sane, Mahrez and Bernardo etc.

I'm still waiting to be impressed...1997 passes and no assists....really though...

I joked a few years ago when Hazard was getting judged on goals and assist's that give it a decade fullbacks and keepers will be getting judged on those stats.
Only about half a decade in we are already down to DLP's

Was defending his a corner for a while but last month he’s been woeful. Was good in a couple games defensively but on the poor he’s been very poor, usually not even under pressure and simple passes being cut out.
