So with the season going well, I thought I would have a look at our remaining fixtures for the season.
We are in quote a strong position, because we only have 7 away games left compared to 9 home games (obviously you can lose anywhere but it is more likely away). Of these 7, we have 3 against top half opposition first. West ham, Man United, Everton. Two of these will he particularly hard to call due to the derby nature.
I think the trip to old Trafford will be the hardest due to their resurgence but also the fact that we will have had 5 days rest from playing Munich and united will have had 12 days since their last game against psg.
After we get through these, our remaining 4 away fixtures are all against teams in the bottom 5 currently. It is difficult playing teams fighting for survival but a championship winning team would be looking to beat relegation teams.
As far as home games go, we have spurs and chelsea as the biggies, but we managed to go unbeaten at home last season so fingers crossed we will this season.

Not being critical or anything, Just when the likes of Lovren opens his gob. he makes an error next game.
I don't wanna curse anything by looking that far ahead.

Realistically City will drop 4/5 points somewhere or else they'd have won 19 in a row during the second half of a season whilst in 4 competitions, which would be utterly insane.
With that in mind we're probably 40 points away. In the same fixtures last year we got 33 points which was 9 wins, 6 draws and 1 loss. So we need to turn at least 3 of those draws into wins.
Tough ask but certainly doable based on our season so far.

Sorry, I didn't mean for my response to sound so terse - was interrupted at work and had to actually do some work.

its ok . One good thing for the weekend. We are up against Sakho, he will probably have a great game or a disastrous one, lets hope its the latter.

Palace are always dangerous on the break with that pace in the team. They do rely on worldies at times but have a good record at Anfield of late. Woy would want to get one over us too. Having said that this is all pre VVD and Alisson.

I don't see Liverpool n City both doing the league double over us. One may but I'd expect that to be City as they are better at OT than you lot.

The last two times we challenged for the title, we did the double over Utd.

But didn't win the title.
If losing at United means we win the league they can batter us 8-0 as far as I'm concerned

All that matters to me is Saturdays game against Palace.
Nothing else matters. 'The next game' is the only matter worthy of thought from here on in.
