Josegate [rolleyes]

From BBC Sport today -

After the 'spygate' scandal at Leeds, Mourinho confirmed he had hidden in a laundry basket in 2005 for Chelsea's Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich after receiving a two-game touchline ban.

"I need to be with my players and I did it yeah," he said.

It’s ok because it’s Chelsea, if Mourinho has been Leeds manager they’d hang him out to dry for this.

Chelsea get a harder time than Leeds with these sort of things.

So they should after David Webb thugged the ball into the net in the 1970 cup final. Dirty bar stewards.

Not disputing that.

But suggesting Chelsea get a good wrap is miles off.

Liverpool meanwhile can do no wrong.

Nah, they’ll put some spin on it and iron out any differences with the Authorities. Leaves me drained to be honest.

This is old news, no?

First time he’s admitted the rumours were true.

Means Frank knew his Chelsea team broke the rules. Add in AVBs admission of ‘spying’ at Chelsea and Franky boy looks s bit of a clown.

The thing about Frank's response that annoyed me was how he managed to deny it when it's there written down taken from the words of the guy who did it.

If he had said, yes it did happen, however as a player I was never going to be in a situation where I could challenge my manager on it qithout putting my place at chelsea at risk, all unwanted to do was to play for Chelsea and to confront the manager could have resulted in me losing the ability to do that.

Or, yeah I didn't see the issue with it back then, but now I have a few years on me and can see it from a manager stand point I've changed my mind on it and think we need to stop allowing this sort of thing and the fa should look to update their rule book on it.

I'd have given him all the respect in the world on it.

But to outright lie and say I dont think it happened is stupid.

And I'm sorry it is a lie, how can he not accept that VB is telling the truth on this, unless he is monumentally stupid and genuinely doesn't believe it.

What he did was decide to make an issue out if something without thinking about the ramifications of it. Once people start asking about Chelsea he sees the can of worms opening and doesn’t want to be seen to be the guy that broke ranks.

Obviously those ranks had already been broken by avb and now Mourinho has owners up the infamous rumour frank could play dumb about avb but he was in the dressing room when Jose was hiding in the dressing room. He could have claimed he was a player not a manager then, but by denying anything happened at Chelsea he’s dug himself a hole. He should be getting hammered for his hypocrisy on this but no one seems that bothered.

Milky, yep, good points, this is why I think Frank wants this put to bed quickly, more so than Bielsa to be fair... Frank seems a bit embarrassed about it all now
