Certainly not my first choice but now that he's here I'm already feeling more positive despite some of our fans not being convinced yet.
A happy player is a player that will perform on the pitch and I get the impression that Higuain never really wanted to go to Milan in the first place.
I think he'll relish this opportunity to play in a different league as well as being reunited with a manager who he scored 38 goals in 42 games for.
Whether this is just a short term loan or something more I think that Gonzalo is a definite upgrade on what we currently have and as long as he stays injury free I think he'll be able to show that
Welcome to Chelsea, Gonzalo.

Should start vs Sheff Weds and hopefully get himself a goal on debut. We need him to settle in quickly and make a mark straight away.

Shame he's not eligible for tonight.

Yep, would have been a perfect game for him to announce himself.
Never mind, we'll have to find a way without him. Hope Giroud can do a job tonight if he plays him

So difficult to know what Sarri will do....oh wait...

Here's hoping working with Sarri again sparks something in him. Even if he went into Milan disillusioned form isn't something some players can flick on like a switch, neither is fitness, and Higuain has a history of missing big chances even when his form is white hot. The pressure's on him to pick right up from where he left off at Juventus last season cos that's what we need, I hope he has the mental strength to do that.
Just by playing how he naturally plays he should help the system as a whole though. If he can make defenders back off of him it'll push our D-line up which in theory means Jorginho can start advancing again, being the Regista he was earlier this season, and have a real impact on games again.... in theory.

Yup he's going to help the system at least to some degree, hopefully significantly and then the team can go back to playing some Sarriball instead of the garbage they have of late.
