Why do Spurs always bottle big games?
As per usual in a semi, they seemed overwhelmed playing us.
Their tactics in big games seem to be to kick us off the park rather than play football. Battle of the Bridge 2016, the 4-2 semi final, the 5-1 semi.
Last night the ref let them get away with multiple tactical fouls.
They just lose their heads under pressure. Is it having too many English 'bottlers' in their squad such as Dier, or does it come down to manager for yet another semi final Poxit. Dier just runs round kicking people when he is under pressure but then bottles his pen.
Anyway, good that football was the winner over thuggery again last night
Another Poxit for Spurs in a semi: why?

Do the math, 15 in 16 year's takes us back to 2003, my first cup final was 94, I will not count the full members cup. So I believe I hear you by a couple.

Best you by a couple. I'm also not counting the 1970 final as I wasn't there either.

So you are basically a jump on the bandwagon, when Chelsea borrowed money they could not pay back supporter of the 1990s continuing on to be a lottery winner supporter of the 21st century then.

Again you show your lack of football knowledge for someone who claims he is not a Sky plastic

It's got to be an age thing, he couldn't even get his head around the 1970 cup final. It also probably stings a little for him to know there are a few of us about that have seen Chelsea win more than his beloved team. And to be fair, the 80s and 90s are a bit of a grey zone for spurs fans given they out spent most and won very little for it.

Chelsea spent money they could not pay back in the 1990s to try to keep up with the big boys, resulting in them nearly going bust had to be brought for a pound, and then finally had to get bailed out by a lottery win. You know you would not have been winning much without the lottery funding. The one or two trophies you won the the 1990s before the money arrived were brought on the back of money you could not possibly pay back.
The 1970 Final I remember very well, one of the best I have seen, so yes I can get my head around it, and I believe it was the first FA Cup Chelsea had ever won, exactly 70 years after Spurs won their first.

70 that's impressive history, glory glory Tottenham Hotspur and all that yet you call us glory hunters.
I know you are old but your timeline and knowledge of our history is way off. For starters we were bought for a pound in the 80s, we spent well towards the mid 90s with the backing of Harding as you did with Sugars money in the late 80s early 90s only we were more successful. As for folding, could of would of should of, the fact is we haven't, we may or may not have run a risk but it has paid off, fortune favours the brave.
As for the 70s cup final if you should remember it you should also realise the error of your earlier assumption with regards my support of Chelsea which 8s the only reason I bought it up again in my last post.

Sandy just one small correction to your statement there mate. Chelsea being sold for a pound happened in 1982 when Bates bought the Club, this time around when Bates sold to Abramovich I think if memory serves that the Club was valued at somewhere in the region of 60 mill.

Yeah, Spurs shorn of their first choice front line have more possession, more shots, more shots on target but were 'played off the park' and 'over whelmed' and spent their time kicking Chelsea

Don't know what game you were watching. Outplayed in both legs and a lucky penalty to give you a lead. Try and keep up

Top be honest I would sooner outplay Chelsea in the Prem game, get the 3 points on the way to CL football next season, than win a semi, lose the final and probably finish outside the top four. Each to their own though I suppose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Funny, for the past Six years you’ve been saying how you wanted Spurs to take domestic cups seriously.
So fickle: you must be female
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why such a small crowd last night CCP, couldn`t even sell out a semi-final. Spurs sold their allocation, it was the Chelsea fans that didn`t turn up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can see the thousands of empty seats in the Spurs end here on Spurs end TV at start of video.
And enjoy Chelsea beating Sours!
