Now Poxy is saying trophies aren't important.
The Argie is becoming the new Arsene. And Spurs are the Arsenal of the 00s: new stadium debt, moral high ground, bottling talented players, embarrassing us in Europe....
"We are going to create a debate that to win a trophy is going to help the club," he said. “I don’t agree with that. That only builds your ego. In reality the most important thing is being consistently in the top four and playing in the Champions League. That is going to help the club to achieve the last step."
Spurs and Poxy want to be Arsenal

A bit of a strange interview TBH, I'm certain the fans wouldn't mind winning a trophy at the risk of getting an ego.
And I certainly wouldn't begrudge top people like hounslows, Genius, Harry's, and Sandy a day in the sun celebrating a win.
Not sure if that attitude will be a concern for them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hounslow seems like a proper fan.
Don't know the other two.
Sandy: I just don't believe he went to that many games back in the day, his knowledge is so sketchy and incorrect.
And he flips and flops like a modern day SSN watcher
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have absolutely been going to WHL since 1959, oh and I have been going to Stamford Bridge longer then you as well. My knowledge of Tottenham is absolutely spot on, not sure where you get the sketchy bit from. You were not around in those days, so you have absolute zilch knowledge of football back then. Stick to posting Chelsea crowds of 38,000 for semi-finals of cups, and you won`t go far wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You can see the 2,000 empty seats in Spurs end here on Spurs TV. Segregation?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkFXY4gWaaE
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs sold out their allocation. They could have sold out 10 times what they were given. The empty seats were down to Chelsea not being able to organise a semi-final properly, hence a gate of 37,000 or 38,000 thousand, smaller than all but one of Spurs home gates this season. Never mind son,
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah, so you admit the empty seats were in the Spurs end.
So you went to Spurs from 1959-1961 and then a few games a season tops in 60s.
And then returned with the advent of Sky.
It is very obvious, you talk about glory years and never mention 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s on here.
Fairweather Talksport style plastic. One week we are the best, next we are the worst
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I went to hundreds of games in the 1960s, home and away, best one being at Wembley in 1967.I spent two or three years of the early 1970s working abroad, but still saw Spurs beat Villa at Wembley in 1971, I was back though in time for the 1973/74 season, and the UEFA Final with Feijernoord. I was at WHL in April 1975 to see Spurs relegate Chelsea.Sorry Brummie this idiot needs putting in his place. I was around when Spurs were relegated, saw every game that season, I followed them home and away in the old 2nd division, I saw them come back up, go to Wembley and win two successive cup finals. I was at WHL when they beat Anderlecht to win the UEFA Cup. So don`t try to lecture me on what and what I have not seen at Spurs.
PS The empty seats were in Stamford Bridge. Just admit you cannot sell out a semi-final. Spurs as far as I know do not own an end at Stamford Bridge.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually you didn't relegate us that season Sandy but it was one of the final nails in the coffin.
If I remember rightly the coup De grace was delivered by Everton on the last day of the season. I think you only finished one point above us as well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Were you at that much Brummie? I remember the mass pitch invasion, and all the fighting at either end. It was a right old fashioned dust up that day. I had a great view from the back of the shelf, I was well camouflaged.

Yes I was Sandy, I got up fairly early and got in before the turnstiles were closed.
I was with another Brummie lad and we were on the side, close to where that one lad was getting a right old shooing on the pitch.
69 went but turned up with all our lot just before KO and the gates were already shut.
I wasn't too sure of the best way there so got off at Seven Sisters and walked from there - it was a bit dodgy but no Millwall

Wenger actually used to show some emotion whenever any of his massively-rotated sides got dumped out of a Cup.
Poch barely got off his seat yesterday. He had the look of a man who would rather forfeit the inconvenient fixture and pay a fine.
