I understand Ghezzal hasn’t made a rip roaring start to his premier league career. I can see that at times in games he’s really struggled, his decision making has been poor, and he’s been a yard off the pace.
But.
He’s a young player, adapting to the premier league. He’s also shown signs of real ability. And I don’t just mean “ok", I mean, “wait a minute there’s something in there" skills. His free kick today was an absolute beauty. His touch is incredible and he’s got a right shot on him.
Yes he’s not up to speed yet and he hasn’t influenced games like we’d want. Much like Gray 🙄. But.
But.
How on earth is booing when this guy comes on going to help him or anyone? As Dungeon writes in his report, you could see it really affected him coming on, and it look like he was terrified to play.
Now, you could argue that people were booing the decision to take Maddison off. I was also frustrated by this as I watched the ineffective Gray move in to a more important position to be ineffective. But that doesn’t change the fact that we have a player on our hands here that has lots of talent. He may or may not adjust, but if he leaves our club, let him leave knowing us fans did all we could to support him.
I really felt uncomfortable when the boos were so loud today. I didn’t like it. I didn’t think it helped anyone.
Ghezzal may or may not settle at our club. But please get off his back and support him. He’s here and he’s trying. It’s not as if he’s Beckford and just looks arrogant and can’t be bothered to try. Let’s show him what Leicester fans are like. Let’s suppprt him.
Let’s have a big cheer the next time he comes on. You never know, it might help him and the team.

Had to laugh at Vardy, seeing Puel talking to Pogba at the end of the match he allegedly asked 'whys he talking to them, F**** Kn0b head'
I also noticed Puel didn't offer Maddison a hand shake when he was subbed off and Maddison definitely looked pi$$ed at the decision anyway.
There may be trouble ahead. -

Agree with OP.
Ghezzal may still take a little more time to prove his worth. PL is a tough league, some players take a little longer to adjust.
With Tieleman's addition and Barnes now back into the team's mix, the minutes play time opportunity available to Ghezzal will be cut short but a smaller steps systematic playtime should suit his adaptation, improvement, and confidence.
LCFC fans should not abuse this 21 year old youngster with over 100 senior games under his belt, embrace him instead.
PS - You played one heck of a great game today - your team looks very dangerous yet difficult to play against and could only get better

BTW - whilst i unreservedly agree that he shouldn’t be being booed by mindless fans, I’m less sure about his potential.
He’s 27 in May so, hardly a youngster and whilst he looks like he has some ability I have my doubts over whether he’s a player who is going to improve us. I think he’s no more than a stop gap until we find better post Mahrez.
As I say, no reason ever to boo your own player, but I’m not sure whether he’s a player who I would want to have any longevity with us. Not yet anyway.

I thought he was much younger than that Joby. But still, that doesn’t mean to say he should be able to adapt to the premier league overnight.
The players talk about him being very impressive during training, and there are some signs as to what he can be about. I’m happy to see him given time.
If it doesn’t work out then fine, but to boo a young player, fairly new to your club and country and still finding his way is embarrassing for me.

Totally agree on the "boo" situation and fans need to have a hard look at themselves.
I'm not convinced that Ghezzal with ever amount to much with us, but happy to give him chance. In actual fact I wouldn't be too disappointed to see him start ahead of Gray who currently offers even less.
