2019/20 team. Reality vs Whats needed

Mustafa needs to go, as too does Koscielny. I had hoped the wisdom of experience would mould Kos into a more thoughtful, considered CB, but he's still the same old rash player, just with waning physical abilities.

Basically get in CBs who are comfortable with the concept of defending space, not these glorified man-markers we have.

Btw I do think our defence will improve next season, it's a hallmark of a lot of teams which attempt to press that they struggle in the first season as players learn what positions to take up. With the addition of a more athletic replacement for Xhaka, a better CB, and an extra year's experience under the belt, I think Emery will start to stamp some of his character on this squad.

I feel 1 cb is enough as koscielny, holding & chambers would be sufficient for back up/reserve.
Mustafi & xhaka would be my immediate removals from the team

Never going to happen though, expect a new winger unless Suarez stays on. Apart from that we might sign a LB but no one of note

Any club hoping to improve will need much more than mythical Starting XIs.

No one should be safe.

Everyone, from Aubameyang through to Leno, should have like-for-like competition on the bench gunning for their place in the squad.

Wing quality is dross from the WB to LW.....we need at-least two quality wingers..for Unia's formation to do the damage next season. I am 100% he will sign a WB and LW or RW

If we don't sign Wingers in the summer then you can forget challenging for anything. A team that can't play formations/use strategies because there isn't a full compliment of positions on the roster. Is quite simply unforgivable at this level (unless it's very temporary).

Can't really expect to be taken seriously when we can't even fill every position on the pitch with a player natural to it.
