Sarri

What's your "cut off point"?

Are you prepared to say "if the board back him in the summer".......

Or are your patience being seriously tested?

It's very easy right now to forget the debacle around his hiring and just how little a pre-season the players and head coach got with each other.

But on the flip side the man is not surely not helping his own situation?!

I made an article a week or so ago where I expressed my concern with his stubbornness. I also made comparisons to Wenger's Arsenal.

But now I'm gonna go a little further....And I hate myself for saying this, but our Chelsea are reminding me of virtually every England Manager apart from Southgate, (eewwww I feel dirty for typing it) in picking players based on reputation and not form etc.

Worse still I feel based on his presser the other week, he'd rather go through today then adapt to the players he has. That imo is cause for concern.

No brainer really, he needs time and he shouldn't compromise his style either, what he needs is complete backing f4om board and I for one would be judging him in his third year,

I think the thing I'm holding on to is Klopp had at least one humiliating defeat in that first season.

And I'll probably always wonder "what if" if he's removed from his position without being properly backed and a full pre-season.

That said I do agree with Brummie that he does need to adapt to the players he has at this time.

His style will not work in the PL. The pace of this league is far quicker than he is used to in Italy. Ask Jorginho about the lack of time he has on the ball here. If Sarri had anything about him he would've implemented his idea gradually and when everyone realised that Jorginho is poor under pressure he should've put Kante central to protect our defence.
That stubborn streak is enough for Roman to sack him and he no doubt will imminently

The board should most definitely back him. They signed him up to completely transform the way we play football. that can't be done in 6 months, it can't be done in 12 months. he needs this summer to cull this squad and rebuild in his own fashion.

He shd only be judged at the end of his 2nd season..

I can't even think of a witty retort, to try and lighten the mood, for that!

The napoli president said it. He is great but is stupidly stubborn. Even pep tried adapt to the players he had in his first season and he got 4th.
For me a stubborn manager will never be a great manager and what we need is a great manager.

I 100% agree with this. If in a couple of years Sarri is still struggling then he might have to go but at least who ever would come in will not have wrestle with a patchwork quilt of a squad with no inherent style or cohesion.

I don’t want to see another pragmatic manager installed for short term gains

A small part of me doesn't want Sarri sacked as we should give him a fair chance and we are still in all competitions with a realistic chance and you have to take the good with the bad with this style change, however in saying that changing style or not, the humiliations should not be happening like they are.

We got destroyed by spurs at wembley, destroyed by arsenal, destroyed by bournemouth 4-0 and we just lost 6-0 to man city, we're Chelsea not a mid-table / bottom side, we should never be losing 6-0.

Players have to take some of the brunt, however Sarri is so predictable and stubborn, we know his first sub every game (Kova for Barkley or Barkley for Kova), he persists with $hit like willian and pedro over giving Cho a chance, he plays Alonso every game who's been garbage, he brought in Jorginho who apart from Kova is quite possibly the worst midfielder i have ever seen, plays the best midfielder in the world in Kante out of position, ironically i'd rather a aged slow Fabregas than Jorginho, Kova or Barkley. Fabregas-Kante-RLC would of been ideal.

He has the 2nd worst win percentage of any chelsea manager currently, we haven't scored a single away goal in 2019 and he's football just doesn't look like it's ever going to take off.

The problem is i think we'd have a better chance in the league cup, fa cup, europa and getting top 4 if Sarri wasn't here. I don't want to sack another manager but it just hasn't been good enough and he just will not change anything.

I just struggle to have faith in a manager who loses the way we have lost, losing games fair enough, but 4-0's, 6-0's, and the scorelines flattered us vs Arsenal and Spurs.

It's just not good enough, and the negatives and cons far outweigh the pros and positives.

Has to go unfortunately.
