Barkley

Barkley's shocking, had a period of good form earlier on in the season but since then he's been appalling.

Kovacic nice dribbling, pretty neat footballer but offers nothing. He could probably do a job in that regista position as he's got legs so could cover ground better. Wouldn't mind seeing him being played there for a few games, more likely to happen in the cup games.

Think Barkley has a lot of talent but is let down by his lack of application and poor footballing brain.
Never realeases the pass at the right time, always chooses the wrong options.

I've always thought he was overhyped English trash, but at the beginning of the season he was really close to convincing me I was wrong - that he just needed the right manager and setup to play a part (even just a squad role) for a club like us. Nope!!! Should've trusted my instincts all along. He loses the ball way too frequently, his movement has regressed from his Everton days (if that's even possible), his only redeeming quality was his decent long shot and that's turned sh!t.

With Mount out on loan I'd happily cash in on Barkley next season. From the start of this season I was firmly of the belief this year was a transitional one intended to weed out the passengers of SarriBall, now I'm doubted Sarri will even make it to next season but be that as it may Barkley's been found out. Not good enough.
