Although I think it’s firstly lazy journalism and secondly I think Zidane would (like Pep) never work for this Chelsea regime. How would you feel if there was any substance in the story?
Possible pros:
Hazard may stay
Might play different players.
Less stubborn?
Has won as both a player and head coach
Handled big egos
Possible cons:
We’ve sacked yet another Manager
Only won with some of the best resources.
Never worked in England.
The possible transfer ban - Hazard might leave without being able to replace.
Hazard might stay. Weird, but we have imo become too dependent.

Because Liverpool saw an opportunity to trade up and seized it. Not many people associated with Liverpool were in the rush to boot him out - board seemed pleased with him, can't recall any players who've said anything negative about him, and the fans were behind him (I don't know why but they were).
I agree he's certainly not perfect, to me he's a classic example of great coach-bad manager, but I'd have him over Howe myself. He's great at developing young players, he's tactically flexible and for us specifically he's got the whole 'one of our own' thing going for him. If we appointed him I'd be very underwhelmed but not overly concerned if that makes sense.

I wouldn't say he's one of our own but I'm sure your average non-Chelsea fan has little idea that he started out here as a coach. He knows the club well without a doubt even if there have definitely been changes in that decades or so.
He certainly doesn't top my list but if we wanted a manager purely here to bring all these fantastic youth and young players through and actually playing for the senior team then he'd be the man for the job. Obviously I can't imagine a scenario where the club ever actually did that. Would be fun though.

Can't see us appointing a low profile british manager. That doesn't seem like our style based on the past 15 years.
Sarri's appointment showed that we want to see style, but not at the expense of success. If Sarri is sacked (and nothing surprises me anymore), then Zidane would not be an unreasonable target. I'm not sure he would want it though - we probably need too much rebuilding at this stage.
Personally, I like the sound of Allegri. Again, I have no idea if he would go for a risk like we would undoubtedly be - but he would be my preference. FYI - Simeone just signed a new deal with Athletico.

Yep I agree. He's not a "OMG we've got the man" appointment. He's more of a "OH... OK, well why not?" sort of appointment.
All hypothetical anyway, we'd never appoint him in a million years. Not our style.
