I know most would have wanted the win tonight but I think it’s important to emphasise the importance of the clean sheet without Big Virgil in the side. Conceding an away goal against a resurgent Bayern side would have imo been a disaster so can you really class this as a bad result?
Yes the draw might have reduced our chances of progression somewhat but it gives us the luxury of not having to win at the Allianz. I know we HAVE to score but there is no chance of Bayern sitting back at home as much as they did tonight which will leave them open. And who can confidently say that our front three have no chance of scoring?
Kimmich being out may also favour us and give Salah more of a chance to get into the game. It will be tough no doubt but we have every chance of progression. The clean sheet was massive. Heads up lads, it’s not over yet.

Although Bayern are now favourites to progress if you're going to draw the 1st leg at home then 0-0 is by some way the best score to take forward.
My concern if I were a Liverpool fan is that they just don't seem to be playing very well, the performances against West Ham, Leicester and to a certain extent Bayern lacked fluidity and appear disjointed. As we approach the business end of the season this needs to improve and quickly.

We played a great game against Bournemouth though and should have scored enough to put the tie to bed tonight. Not overly concerned at this stage.

Its not the worst but not the best. We were very wasfeful final 3rd annoying and and a bit sloppy final 3rd but other than that play well. Fab and Matip done well but we need to be clincial in the 2ng leg. Aldo i would of put Sturridge on as well Salah was average today.

The game is 50/50 and if I had to choose a side to qualify it will be Liverpool simply because Im not convinced either team is good enough to win the game and Im almost certain this game will end as a score draw.
Bayern were very lucky as well as Liverpool being very poor. I thought it was the wrong decision to play Keita. Milner should have started to give Liverpool enough protection in defence and allow the front 3 to attack.Without Miner your fullbacks were pined back and that stiffled your attacking play.
Having van Dijk helps for the return leg but I dont think thats where the game will be won. Bayern are so naive, Colman and Gnabry were so loose in possession & there was an opportunity to attack Liverpool in the last 15 minutes and they didn't go for it.

There's a dimple way to gauge this.
Will Bayern be happy?
If answer is yes then it's not good for us.
Our best weapon in Europe is Anfield. That's gone.
And anyone with experience with Europe knows an away draw ain't bad at all.
I will ignore away game blues as that's just drivel, every opponent is different and circumstances too.

Apart from the poor performances of both full backs, the fact you didn't concede tonight proved you managed without vvd . But it's very frustrating that it was the frontline that ultimately let you down in a night you were expected to win.

games in 3 whole weeks. focus on league now. forget this one.
next game is utd away and our performances lately don't say we will win it. we need a lot more polish.

Poor. kieta had a great game yesterday our full back were sloppy to an extent defensive wise. As good as Milner is we dont need a like for like in midfield.
